Falling for A Fighter | Freya & Edmund | Event (Veiled Threat)
If Edmund was the balm for discomfort for Freya, Freya was definitely the balm for insecurity. She always made him feel better when he felt nervous or uneasy. In a way, maybe they both brought some sort of calmness to each other.
He looked at Freya with a smile on his face as she circled around him fixing his posture. The kiss made him smile wider and even though he would've wanted to break the pose to give her a kiss he stayed still and let her finish her sculpting. He raised his brow slightly when she frowned hers but the following whistle made him laugh. "Once upon a time I always dreamed being the knight in the shining armor, going around saving ladies from dragons. But I've come to realise that's definitely for me, so I think we just have to keep it the way it is now - You're the knight and I'm the lady who needs saving."
"Sing me a tune?" he repeated and there definitely was a soft blush coloring his cheeks. Oh why couldn't he be the manly man, the knight who saves the day. He'd love to sweep her off her feet and make her sing a tune. Edmund frowned. Think, Edmund, think. The frown stayed, but a small smirk crawled on his lips and he looked at Freya again. He had read a lot of books about knights, he'd know what to do.
Edmund changed his posture with the sword, trying to mimic the practice poses he had seen the knights doing at Mab's castle. Then he tried to spin the sword in a super cool way, but mid spin he lost the grip, dropped the sword and got startled by it. He jumped to the side out of the way as the sword made a thump-sound when it hit the ground. And instantly Edmund felt so stupid for even trying to do something cool. He sighed and looked a bit sad as he picked up the sword again. "I guess singing is just for me then", he mumbled while keeping his gaze on the sword.
Freya chuckled warmly and shook her head, "that's no problem, I like ladies plenty, and we've proved I can rescue you anyway." She took no issue with his softness- it was part of what made him so interesting to her. It was rare to find soft people in the wildlands. Despite the madness all around them, Eddie hadn't let the world change him.
She watched his little show with a bemused smile, unable to stifle another laugh when things went south, glancing at him apologetically, "you almost had it." She assured him, taking the sword from him and holstering it in its sheath on her back again.
"But don't worry, I'm sure you'll still find ways to get a sound or two out of me." She mused as she hooked her arms around his neck, her smile a bit suggestive. "I like it when you sing to me, anyway." Freya sighed, pressing up on her tip-toes to kiss him softly. "No need to be a knight- there are plenty of romantic types of men in those books you read, I'm sure? Musicians have their way to make the fair ladies swoon, and all that." She grinned, "if you can imagine me as a fair lady."
