i’m still thinking about this absolutely baffling take where someone said that trans men automatically had an amount of privilege over women no matter what because “the world is built around men’s desires” or some shit like that. what possible explanation is there for that belief that isn’t super gender-essentialist. i mean even if you say the desire is to present masc you do realize that a. not all trans men/mascs want to actually present masculinely and b. if trans men/mascs are perceived by many as not real men/invalid and therefore don’t really have access to that privilege
