Hello everyone.

So today I have sad news to bring to you, I’ve been plagied.

I had some messages there telling me if I made a game that I released lastly, knowing I didn’t I asked no and wanted to know why many people asked me this, then they gave me a link to the Facebook page of the company :

I looked on it, and directly saw the icon that is, quasi my little pigeons I animate bouncing, then I was like “ mmm … maybe they were inspired but they could ask for permission because it’s way too similar for my taste, it’s really like my animations”  then I saw the videos and it was terrible.

You may already what I animate, but when I saw the video of the gameplay, I had no words.

All of my motions, bouncing animals, Dancing frames are exactly the sames !!

They totally copied my art !!!

So I contacted them, I wanted to be sure, they replied me that it’s for game and that my art is for animation so it’s not the same. Sigh 

So I told my friends about it, many tried tu put messages to discuss with them, no success. Some even were blocked when they put proof of my work.

I’m lost, I didn’t sleep last night because of this, I contacted lawyers and got some explanation, so it’s still going but I have to deal with it and I wanted you to know my current situation.

I share this with you because I’m an artist, this kind of thing happen to us WAY too often and I want to act, for me, for you, for any artists on the internet!

It have to stop!

I have so many proofs on my blog, but also you know me and my art well. 

I can’t let this pass and stay there.

Please be aware of this and tell people that it’s total plagiat of my art.

Hey there fellas!

Here’s the lead artist coming to hit you up with actually an apology for nothing new that was uploaded on the blog cause of few reasons and this time around sadly I dont have anything new to show to you.

However I can assure you that I am working on making new enemies for the game and soon enough I should be able to show you something more– including showing the models themself and some animation attached to them so you could get curious.

Main Story Characters

So I’m probably going to throw this in for the Battlerite skin contest. It’s just what I was going to redesign Jade into anyways before I lost interest in that little project.

Not sure if I’ll work on this more with a back view and her rifle or submit as is. Only thing fueling this is the chance at some recognition and pure spite at the moment and I’m not sure how much of that I got left.

Background Tutorial

Notes:

I use CS6, and this was mostly done with default hard round brush at around 50% opacity or higher, 100% flow, and size pressure on. I made some random brushes for the greenery by modifying the default ones.

always use a large canvas. I go about 3000px x 3000px.

with enough practice, painting backgrounds like this will be a fairly quick affair. this one, for example, took about 30 minutes? it’s just a matter of time/experience. :)

Items

Since I’ve never showed the first items, here’s what the first 4 items look like when equipped:

Each piece gives a different bonus, for example Helmet makes you shoot better and Gloves make you attack faster.

Then, there were the first prototypes aside from the standard armor pieces you can find around:

This crappy little guy can be quite useful, shoots nearby enemies (model will be changed)

Horns, new gloves, fire feet, red left eye and purple right eye. All these items have their own effects and any item that applies the same effect as another item stacks. Also notice that new Greatsword :>

Lastly, a player wearing other equipment similar to the first armor set, eventually every piece will have its own dedicated model. Each piece does something different, in this case its Boots make you deal AOE damage upon landing and the Helmet heals you when you do a Perfect Dodge.

So, let me explain the new Perfect Dodge mechanic:

Perfect Dodging is as simple as it sounds, a perfectly timed dodge. If you evade an attack moments before it damages you not only you negate its damage, but you also gain a very brief temporary state where all your nearby enemies go 10 times slower and you take no damage. Not every dodge can count as parry though, Perfect Dodge is like a skill, it has its own cooldown and its amount will vary upon how many players you play with.
