The earth glides around the sun, it's a year
It spins neatly on its axis, a day
Never moves faster, or passes slower
And yet, she lays idle on her bed, bored again
Waiting for what seems like hours even days
Quick glance at the clock, it's been a minute
Surely, that can't be true, it can't be real?
She keeps occupied, she eats, she walks, she looks
Scowling at the clock, not even midday
Constantly tries, continuously fails
To make it move just a little faster
