My “main” WIP is Legacy of Fallen Stars which is a medium fantasy story! I’ve been turning up the fantasy elements lately with the magic system, fantastical flora and fauna, and the lore for the story!

There’s a lot of found family, adventure, sibling/family drama, betrayals and rivalries, and a little sprinkle of living weapons and a Chosen One sorta deal!

So in Norse mythology, the end of the world has been prophesied by the Norns (sorta like the fates) and is known by everyone as Ragnarök. This is when Loki breaks free, the gods basically all die, and the world ends as they know it and eventually rises from the ocean lush and new. So, yknow, typical dystopian mythology sorta stuff.

Shadowed Depths is set in Aknyra, which has gone through a few big events that utterly changed the course of that nation. Let's just say Ankyran society has been re-invented a couple times. Ankyrans and Meremayde alike always endure, even if not all of them make it...

For the Frequency series, Forsaken/Imagination both take place in a dystopian future version of earth, in which the world is very much dying. It isn't particularly cataclysmic, but it is dying. And at that point, it isn't something fixable* (*with normal means at least :3)

I wonder where the bounds of “post-apocalyptic” start and end. In CitC, the human civilization could’ve been easily destroyed by creatures or infectious disease. Humans went to another planet covered in alien life and tried to hole themselves away from the rest of the planet. They send out a group soon after touching down on the planet, and each of those people is killed by another aspect of the nearby forest. The domes could’ve failed and let those deadly plants and animals in. The crops could’ve all been killed.

Amalia was born with a crippled ankle and she uses a crutch to get around, and while it tires her sometimes, being a healer she doesn’t let it define her and takes breaks when she needs

Lettie and Fenric both have terrible eyesight and wear glasses, but even though they’re both from two different eras, both of them have their reasons for avoiding wearing them in public until later in their arcs

Cronan initially wasn’t disabled but after an *ahem* [spoilers incident] he has a tremor in his hands and is pretty weak on his right side and uses a cane to keep his balance and support his weak leg

Riven is an amputee, because the black market dealers cut off one of his tail fins to keep him from swimming off and escaping. He also has whatever asthma-like condition being a hybrid between a land-breathing and aquatic species would cause and as such he can’t really solely use his gills or his lungs independently of each other and get enough air
