PRIVATE EYES (wright+yamashina)
Leaning forward Yamashina focused his sight towards the bush that had been rustling just a moment ago. He was standing within a distance he considered safe trying to caught a glimpse of whatever it was going on inside the bush. Quiet wish inside his head was that it was no murderer or a case of a public indecency, both being rather bothersome (and the latter a little awkward). Maybe an animal…
Yamashina wasn’t left without an answer for the itching curiosity for a long time. In fact within a few seconds of his setting his foot just a bit closer it dashed right onto him. Yamashina himself survived the incident nearly unscathed but other wasn’t as fortunate. Yamashina didn’t see it clearly as he had closed his eyes the moment something had arised from the bush but it seemed the man had made quite a fall on his buttocks.
Secretly Yamashina forgave him easily as he happened to be glad that wasn’t him. Once the confusion had settled his expression turned into rather passive one. It seemed the guy was a local hobo or something like that….
"….I should ask the same of you. ‘s okay though. Takes two to bump and all. "
" Just glad that wasn’t my ass. My condolences. "
He reached his hand to help the poor guy up.
He had been mistaken for a hobo quite a few times, and well...he couldn't blame people. Maybe it was the oxford jacket, it was a pretty off-putting thing--he was pretty sure that was it. (Totally not the hat, of course.)
But it wasn't like he knew that Yamashina in particular had accused him, of course, since he couldn't read minds. It was just that the face he wore was a little concerning, considering that it looked kind of confused and pitiful.
Phoenix ignored it for the sake of being polite, since he didn't really want to make the other too uncomfortable. With a small smile, he accepted the other's hand up and dusted himself off when he stood up comfortably once more.
"It's alright, heh, it's not like I haven't experienced a few bad falls myself," he all of a sudden felt kind of guilty and hateful of himself for thinking about Hakuzara Temple once more, but he pushed it off once more. "Phoenix Wright," he said before the silence would be labeled "awkward." He put his hand out one more time to shake.
"Thanks for...helping me up," he looked at the other--analyzing his outfit. Over the seven years, it really was kind of one of his favorite pastimes...looking at people and guessing what they did. "Are you a detective or police officer by any chance?" Phoenix questioned.
