i constantly think about how the devs messed up so hard by not showing the interactions between the heralds. we get crumbs of how john thinks about faith’s angels but that’s literally it. what are john and jacob’s relationship to this current faith? would john and jacob’s relationship be even more strained (or at the very least awkward) due to john not really remembering jacob growing up and only being a young child at the time of their separation? i think the game does a great job actually at showing joseph’s individual relationships with the siblings but i just find it hard to believe (especially when i play the game) that there is so little about the relationships between the heralds. i guess you could argue in a way yes it probably makes sense that jacob and john don’t really have much to say about faith not only because she isn’t biologically related to them but because it adds to the allure of her character being this “mysterious-fairy-only-appears-in-drug-induced-hallucinations” thing that ubisoft clearly intended for her however characterising her a bit more through her relationships with the other seeds would humanise her in a way that would at the very least make her boss fight feel a bit more.. idk understandable? like if we heard more about faith through the eyes of john and jacob who are in similar positions of power would it not make us more/less inclined to empathise with her (like her boss fight kinda tries to make us do)? john’s dig at her is arguably somewhat of an attempt at the player being shown faith is just as cruel as he is yada yada but it’s also driven likely by the jealousy he has of her being joseph’s supposed favourite (which they also could’ve gone more into)
