Picture this;
You are a scrawny, weak but strong-minded man in 1860s Montreal. You just finished your hard and long (that’s what she said) day of work and now need to walk all the way back home, in the dark and humid air of the city at night. You usually aren’t a man of speed over quality, but today was an unending day. So, you decide to go through Notre-Dame street, remembering a friend told you it would be a quicker way home.
A quick— but rather dangerous way home.
As soon as you get close, men surround you. You begin getting nervous and know that feeling will soon turn to fear as the men get closer. You know who they are; Black Horse, an infamous gang in the French-Canadian city. Wasting no time, the men start asking you for money, threatening a fate worse than ugly worse if you don’t comply. You cannot fight; you know you can’t. But your family needs that money— every cent.
What do you do?
