Seraph is up under the temp url @tumultucus.
Due to the dlc actually bringing muse back, a couple of changes will be happening here.
1. This blog will be archived.
2. Seraph will be getting her own blog under a different account.
3. All other muses will be archived, and I'll keep them around for discord roleplay.
I'm excited to be more active, but these changes will take time.

A fleet of kites. She was starting to ease through all of this as well, which was appreciated. There were times where he had a hard time to lighten the mood as he hasnât had too much practice with it lately. If he pissed someone off, generally he just kept going to make them angrier.
Not her. She wasnât one of those people he wanted to push away.
âTie a bunch to me and see where I land. Carry me to the Caribbean.â A snicker came from him only to notice his coffee was all gone. âWhile you search through your time capsule, you want anything to eat or drink? Donât got a lot butâŚ.some fruit and water.â He wasâŚworking on having a normal apartment life.
âThat sounds more like losing a bet than something youâd do for an experiment,â Seraph chuckled. She watched him go to take a sip of coffee only to find none with a faint smile. What a contrast to their nights drinking, or his attitude with his work. Every faucet was still him, a man out for bounties to a groggy hunter.Â
âWater would be good, thanks.â It sounded a bit childish-- While you search through your time capsule-- but he wasnât wrong. In a way, it was almost domestic. She shifted to sit more comfortably in her seat. She liked it.Â

The Way Back
wraithslight:
âBy the Light, Roman,â she chuckled, lightly slapping his shoulder with the back of her hand. âNo, they didnât plan on dropping bombs with it. These are personal effects, remember? Youâre the one telling me Iâm not just a soldier. I mustâve liked flying it, or maybe it was my motherâs or sisterâs. I⌠donât think I could fly it now.âÂ
She examined it a little before folding it carefully. The bamboo seemed to resist before it complied enough to be stored again. âIâd have to consider the sparrow thing, but maybe Iâll take it out to the cosmodrome or something and try to see if I remember how. Besides, I donât know if anyone could top the guardian who tied those streamers to their sparrow last seasonâ they looked pretty damn cool.â
He knew his rough hand and didnât bother to try and touch the weathered kite in fear of it crumbling to dust from his touch alone. âIt looks pretty simple. Could probably make a copy of it so you donât ruin that one. Keep that as a family heirloom.â
ThatâŚwas a reach. Did either of them even really want families of their own? Did she when there was the possibility of having one before becoming an exo? Would she see it as replacing those she lost? There were many questions he had that he would probably never ask. âI donât know, I think we could top it. They started a trend, but we could rule it. Kites. Get on that.â
Despite everything that could have been somber in the conversation, Seraph still laughed at Roman's efforts. It was soft, not much more than subtle flashes of light in her mouth, but it was there.
She could make a copy, certainly, but she'd have no one to give it to. The idea left a little longing in her chest, but she dismissed it. Still, that didn't negate the sparrow racing.
"I'll ask a warlock in the libraries, there must be books on it, right? Could make a fleet." She turned to smile at him a little before looking at the table to set the kite down. "It'd be gorgeous... seeing people fly kites from the tower too."

If she actually asked about it, heâd be completely honest and open to her. Otherwise, how could he just start telling his life story right then and there? Mention the part of being forced into sex work, the orphanage, his throat getting slit, and everything in between? No. Later.
He stared to the small item she brought out and grinned lightly. âNever flown one before? Waitâthat was in a big military tech place? What the fuck were they planning to do, drop bombs from a little kite?â
Roman rubbed his finger over the attaching string and chuckled, âyou-you could attach this to your sparrow and be the coolest guardian at SRL.â
âBy the Light, Roman,â she chuckled, lightly slapping his shoulder with the back of her hand. âNo, they didnât plan on dropping bombs with it. These are personal effects, remember?   Roman was used to people bringing these things up to him in hopes of him tracking them so he had assumed that sheâd want the same. Of course, she was far different than most that he had known. Far better, too.
âYeah, more box stuff,â he agreed. She mentioned him wanting to talk and he immediately shook his head. For the most part, he was an open bookâas long as someone asked. It was rare for him to just start opening up about his life out in the blue. âIâm good on my end.â
Another sip from his mug and the bounty hunter scratched at his growing beard. âWhat else we got in here? Treasure? Please?â
She watched him for a moment after he declined to share anything. It wasnât surprising, really. Seraph turned back to the tags in her hand, then looked towards the box as she slipped the chain around her neck.Â
âI donât know about treasure,â she answered, tugging the box closer to her. She paused again at the other photos, then brushed them aside. Not now. âHey-- here, this is something.âÂ
She smiled, unfolding the frame of bamboo covered with cotton cloth covering it. There was some sort of flute down the middle of the frame, and there were strings wrapped around it, presumably for storage. âItâs not something you could sell, but itâs.. Truthfully Iâm not sure how to fly it, but I think itâs a kite.â

Send a muse + an ending
GOOD END- The ideal end to my museâs story where everything is resolved and they can live a good life.
BAD END- The bad guys win. Everything that can go wrong for my muse had gone wrong.
TRUE END- Bittersweet ending. Some things go right, other things go wrong. Some sacrifices have to be made, but most people are happy in the end.
EVERYONE LIVES- No one has to die in my museâs story, be it for Better or for worse.
WE ALL FALL DOWN- No one is safe in the end of my museâs story. Everyone important to the story has perished. This can include your muse or not.
WENT DOWN IN HISTORY- Your museâs story is passed down through the ages, sometimes being stretched or exaggerated in places until it becomes a legend told in storybooks and campfires as poems, tall tales, etc.
SECRET END- Crack. Come up with the silliest end to your museâs story as possible.

Some were more than friends. That line ran through his head over and over in an attempt to figure out what that could mean in so many ways. âSoâŚwhat now? That was ages ago. Think some of them could be guardians like us? We could try more digging at Clovis but I doubt that rubble heap will hold much.â
Roman lived a life of cutting people away. He was a bridge burner in its entirety and never saw the point in reaching out for people who were already gone, but he understood that she wasnât that type. âIf youâre trying to find these ghosts, I can try to help butâŚIâll leave no promises.â
She hesitated at his questions. Really, she hadnât considered a ânowâ in reference to her old life or the people that were in it. There was the possibility they could be guardians, alive. Seraph didnât answer at first.Â
âI... Can I get back to you on that? I hadnât thought that far ahead. I didnât come here to ask you for help piecing things back together-- thatâs not your responsibility, itâs mine. I came by because, well... I wanted to share this... aspect of me, whatever it is. But... thank you, Roman, for that.â She spoke longer than she wouldâve liked, dragging out her discomfort.Â
She didnât ask anything of him yet, and the hunter was already offering to try to help. If anything, it reassured her that her trust was well placed. âLetâs not worry about doing anything right now...just... can we keep looking through the box?â She paused, looking to him. âOr, what about you? Did you want to talk...?âÂ
The Way Back
wraithslight:
âA little tike?â Seraph repeated incredulously, but she was smiling. She pushed his shoulder back, albeit less than he had. âWhatever you need to tell yourself, Roman.â
She shook her head and looked back to the tags in his hand. Wear them again? She hadnât really thought about itâ she didnât need the name in the field. Only Roman would recognize it, and even then sheâd be better identified by her cloak. But, that wasnât the point of it. âMaybeâŚâ She watched the metal in Romanâs hands thoughtfully. âIn a way they donât really feel like mine yet.â
A brow raised, âyet? Do you think that you gotta earn them?â He paused and took a breath, putting his mug down then reached for her hand, folding it over and open before pressing her tags into her palm. Curling her fingers over them, he looked her in the eye. âThat is still you. Youâve earned them, and even more so with what youâve done as a guardian. Itâs your choice to wear them, not anyone elseâs.â
He noticed that he was still holding her hand and eased off, brushing his fingers against his shirt as if to clean them off. âYou arenât living under a sergeant or anything anymore. Nobody can take away your medals, your livelihood, your history. Youâre Tien just as much as you are Seraph.â
There was a sturdiness to Romans hands-- something steadfast in the way he pressed the metal into her hand and ushered her to keep it. She didn't know if she agreed with him-- she had forgotten so much-- but she broke their shared gaze to look at the tags again. She rubbed her thumb over the raised metal.
"No one can take them away, but I don't even remember having some of them, Roman. I don't remember Tien-- not well. I don't know who some of the people are in the pictures, and some of them have to be more than friends." She fidgeted with the tags, then closed her hands over them again. She missed the steadiness of Roman's hand.
The Way Back
wraithslight:
She smiled at his comfort, more to herself then him. He was right, she knew that. It was just about learning what the rest of her was. Roman was helping with itâ being more than just another gunmen she worked with. He was complex himself, and part of her hoped they were wading in this together, finding themselves and each other.Â
Seraph set the photo on the coffee table after looking at it a second longer. She reached back into the box and pulled out a simple chain, clinking tags making quiet sounds. âNot much else besides photos. These are my tags, Tienâs tags.â
She offered them to him, pressing them into his palm. âLook at the datesâ makes me feel old.âÂ
Another sip of his coffee and the photo was gone out of view as she stirred through the box of goodies once again. Part of him started to wonder just what could be in there, and the idea of her having a family that wasâŚlong gone started to brew. How awful would that be? A full family and to forget it all.Â
Gladly, her military tags came out only to go right into his hand. Did she trust him that much to have him view these things so closely. He lifted them to his eye and scanned over the carvings. âOld. Youâre talking to someone that was alive before Brayâat least, I think. Besides, youâre a little tike to me.â He reached over and pushed her shoulder lightly. âDonât suppose youâd keep wearing these, would you?â
"A little tike?" Seraph repeated incredulously, but she was smiling. She pushed his shoulder back, albeit less than he had. "Whatever you need to tell yourself, Roman."
She shook her head and looked back to the tags in his hand. Wear them again? She hadn't really thought about it-- she didn't need the name in the field. One of their earliest moments together was spent with them talking over their futures and what to do with the whole war. He never really thought of it as an âidentity crisisâ for her, and even less so for himself, but that was a good way of describing both their issues.
âSo, being a soldier is what you know. But it isnât all that you are.â Roman stared at the photo for a bit, more so at her than any other figure in the picture. He didnât really care about them. But seeing his friend asâŚ.someone else? Strange.
   âSo, what else ya got?â
She smiled at his comfort, more to herself then him. He was right, she knew that. It was just about learning what the rest of her was. The Way Back
huntingbounties
He knew the part of exos coming from humans rather than what he had initially thought when brought back. They had human bodies and memories andâŚlives in general before it all, though he never really asked how that came about or why. She pointed to the one woman who he had only glanced at before and studied her more firmly this time.
âThatâŚwas you?â It wasnât really a thought that had gone through his head before. Seraph was an exo to him, through and through. There wasnât a wasted moment of wondering just what she looked like as a human, whenever that time period was. NowâŚhe had an idea.
âShit, and here I was about so say that she was pretty câŚwait,â his thought stopped, looking up to the other guardian, âsoâŚyou went to Clovis Bray and they made you intoâŚ.you?â The puzzle pieces were finally clicking together for him. âYou went back to try and figure out what you were before, huh?â
Seraph smiled, visibly happy he was making the connections. He understood it then, and there was still a small bit of surprise to it. âThat was me. Twenty-two, fresh out of basic.â
She held his gaze for only a few moments, still slightly nervous about sharing it with him. She trusted him, wanted to share it with him, but it wasnât something she had time to think about and decide how she felt about it. âI did. I thought maybe... maybe itâd help with the whole identity crisis the Red War caused. Ironic isnât it? I was still a soldier even then.â
She chuckled, a bit softly, shyly. It wasnât hard to tell she was a little disappointed or embarrassed about that. âI think these were my first squad mates.â Â
The Way Back
huntingbounties
âMustâve been after my time,â he murmured, watching as she peeled the thing open and started to sift through it. As the years went on, he remembered less of his times before being a guardian. Was Clovis Bray a thing he heard near the end of his life or were his new memories bleeding into old memories? Bleeding. Old bleeding. Romanâs finger ran across the scar over his throat.
She handed him a photo and he scanned it sort of blankly, not sure what to really make of it all. âOoo, big corporation is more shady than we all thought. Big surprise there, huh?â Sarcasm coming from the man that hated all authority. Go figure. Without really looking at the photo and studying it, he offered it back to the other guardian with a raised brow, half expecting her to point out the people in it. What, was Cayde one of them? Or her? Or something else. âAre you trying to get me to hunt these people down? Iâm a hired gun, not some detective.â
Seraph rolled her eyes at him, taking the photo back and touching the faces of her old squad. Her first squad, she figured. âMost of them are dead already, Iâd guess.â
She looked to him, watching his expression. It was pretty blank. Maybe she wasnât giving him enough dots to connect, maybe it seemed too simple to her. She held the photo between them. âI was going to have you guess, but maybe itâs easier if I explain it. So, your big shady corporation was unsurprisingly, actually shady. They were the leaders in developing the Exo, from what I could tell. Now, Exo arenât super realistic A.I. All of us started as people, Roman. Some of us sold out to clear debts, some of us volunteered to test the process for science. That process, whatever it was, made me what I am now, but way back, before I was even just Seraph, I was someone else.â
She tapped the photo, by the face of a young woman. A sharp asymmetrical haircut framed her face, smile faint but sincere. âThatâs me. Tien. Or, my full name then was Nguyen Hai Tien.â
