We’ve launched!
Yep, you read that right – we’ve launched baby. On Tuesday evening, we filled The Library, just off Covent Garden, with investors, companies, and family and friends galore to celebrate Wozedu’s first official day as a website.
The evening began at 18:30, where drinks and snacks were served against the backdrop of shelves and shelves of books – very fitting for an education and careers social network.
CEO and founder of Wozedu, Oliver Donovan, said: “It was great to announce the official launch of Wozedu for press and our strategic partnerships. Our aim is to assist young people with the correct career and educational choices, to improve social mobility for all.”
Several members of the team then went on to the Tate Modern, the building on which the last of our promo videos were being projected. Seeing months of hard work displayed against such an iconic building was incredibly exciting – most of all for Pietro, our graphic designer.
His five animations were projected against a variety of buildings across the capital over the course of the evening, in places like Shoreditch High Street, Waterloo, and Camden.
Perfect for the week before Halloween, they were all based on characters from fairytales: vampires, witches, mermaids, fairies, and knights in shining armour lit up London. If you missed the chance to see them, take a peek at them here!
Wozedu is now live and being promoted; just yesterday morning there was an article in The Sun about us, which you can see in our Press section. If you haven’t already, take a look at our education and careers site, complete with a range of advice articles and funny features as well as the opportunity to connect with jobseekers and employers.

Caption competition hits the capital, courtesy of Wozedu
Next Tuesday, Wozedu are putting on a competition for the people of London to celebrate the launch of our website – those who spy our projections on landmarks across the capital can tweet us and potentially win a Ticketmaster gift card!
Back up a second? Wozedu?
Yes, that’s us! Aiming to disperse the informational fog surrounding careers advice, Wozedu is looking to shake up the current jobs market. With our new social network, young people can finally make meaningful connections with employers, educators, and other users and find out what they need to do to get the jobs they want.
Graduate jobs, internships, apprenticeships, and traineeships are all listed on the website; the website’s unique algorithm recommends job opportunities specifically tailored to users, which they can then apply to through the site. Wozedu also offers advice to help demystify the world of work and learning, as well as a lifestyle section packed with parody agony aunts and blogs from students overseas.
Did you mention projections?
Oh you bet I did. To show the city how we can help them, we’ll be projecting 5 short videos onto landmarks across London from 6-12pm on the 28th October.
From 6-6:45pm, we’ll be projecting our first one on York Road, Waterloo; from 7-7:45pm, the second will be shown on Shoreditch High Street; from 8-8:45pm we’ll be projecting our third on Curtain Road. From 9-9:45pm our fourth video will be shown on Inverness Street, Camden; from 10-11pm our fifth will be projected on the Stables at Camden; and from 11:30-midnight our final one will be projected against the iconic Tate Modern.
And did I hear word of a competition? I love competitions. What kind is it? Does it involve hurdles?
God no, it involves captions.
CAPTIONS? I LOVE CAPTIONS!
Don’t we all – anyone who spots the projections can tweet us (@wozedu) using the hashtag #wozeduprojections, posting a photo or video they’ve taken of a projection with a caption they’ve come up with. The writer of the best caption, judged by our wonderful team of caption-experts (well, more like the people who work at Wozedu in general), will win a £50.00 Ticketmaster gift card – OH YEAH. THERE’S MONEY IN IT.
This is where YOU come in. We need your help to make the people of London aware of the competition, so that they can get tweeting and, hopefully, get spending. So tell you followers to keep their eyes peeled for the vampires, witches, and knights in shining armour in our videos – and start thinking of killer one-liners.
