and yet in the spanish version they are honest to god just talking about fruit instead of, like, the inherently human desire for knowledge and control

and the inevitability of death because humans just have so little time

did they keep that scene towards the beginning where goncharov flashes back to beating up foreign soldiers in his youth??

somehow they kept that?? maybe they hoped nobody would do some math and figure out WHERE exactly goncharov was fighting you know?

and they also kept the whole "marx our saviour" monologue AND katya and sofia sharing a cigarette which is honestly one of the most erotic things i have seen in my whole life
