This reminds me of my summers in Spain when I was a teenager visiting my sister - the summer heat, my sister’s cooking, music is playing, and we’re taking the wet clothes out of the washing machine (that’s also located in the kitchen because space was limited), while the chicken is cooking with the rice, wafts of smells that would overpower the tide clean wet clothes, and we would hang them to dry outside of her kitchen window with little wooden ganchitos = such a tangible, vivid memory 💖
