Boating

Jump on the boat for a ride

Off To a place far from fear

On Ships that fly on a glide

To waters clear far from here

Channels made up in your mind

Channels waving reality behind

So put down your paddle and your ore

Its time to set sail to oceans galore

The colors are bluer

Once you get a taste

The hearts are much truer

The hearts running the race

So as she dropped in to the water

She felt waters warm and getting hotter

And what she said next

You could barely hear

She said, “I love you

Babe come here.”

And so on she goes

And so on she goes

Off on tiptoes.

So quietly a pleasant present

so quickly slipped away.

And her memory a dream.

In the end it doesn’t seem

To be anything–but neurons fired

In a pleasant brigade,

on an blameless heart dismayed.

Both alike how quaint

Fake feelings half these hearts faint

Soft as a piano tap

Summer skin sunsets her back

Soft and sweet between her lips

I’m feeling good under lying fingertips

 And now she’sthin air.

Someone that takes your breath

 Lets you inhaledespair

All the times you’re feeling rough

All the times you’re feeling sad

Two lines above are just words

They don’t feel what’s going on inside the way its actually happening

Well maybe they do—you just believe you can’t imagine it

But why are our hearts so fond of another presence?

Why is it that one name can affect your post effect?

How does someone that isn’t you make you?

Here—now?  Is where I’m supposed to land misfortune into a bed of roses?

But this isn’t paper poetry this is how rough is real

This isn’t meant to mend you

Its made to help you mend me
