Watching people launch rockets out in the Nevada desert is probably one of the coolest things I've ever been able to do. While I didn't get to launch any myself, it was such a great experience to witness so many other people see their hard work pay off! Definitely going to attend more of these events & who knows? Just when I thought my adventures for the summer were over, life found a way to surprise me. Unlike last year's painstakingly planned out trip which ended in the beautiful Zion National Park, I've somehow ended up on an impromptu excursion to the dry lakebed of Black Desert Rock - known to be the home of Burning Man. I'll be heading up there for a rocketry event & watching people launch handmade rockets into the sky.
