Well this is it. I have been sent out to the Dunkeltaler Forest Array to operate it and gather signals. I was informed that I will be the only one on site, and so all maintenance, cleaning, and signal processing work will be up to me. We are approaching the edge of the area, its rather late for me getting in.

Okay so its been a few hours since that last note, and they must have underplayed what it was like out here to trick me. Dropped me off at the gate at midnight, so i have to walk from there to the base in the middle of the night. Then i get to base and find out it was left in an abysmal state by the prior occupants.

Dr. Bao is apparently in charge of this area, even if he isnt out here. At least he isnt making me do a bunch of signal processing today, so i can get at least somewhat cleaned up.

Took a trip around the West Mojave these last few days. Headed down to Primm where i found they were being occupied by Powder Gangers. The NCR was just outside the town but refused to do anything about a problem they created. Starting to feel happy that i left, who knows what i would be dealing with today, or wouldnt be dealing with and just leaving people to die.

I got into the casino with the deputy, and managed to free him from his bindings, and asked for his help clearing the rest of the Powder Gangers. It took a little more force then i like but he did help, though he died in the fight.

Primm needed a new sheriff, and since the deputy wasnt around anymore to take the position, they asked me to look elsewhere. NCR could have come in, but that would take some convincing, and based on what i have seen of them in the Mojave recently, might not have been the best. A convict from NCRCF was also an option, being a former sheriff before getting locked up, but the former prison was well within powder ganger territory and they dont like me so much.

Final option was activating Primm Slimms sheriff programming, letting the robot take the position of protecting the town. For now this seemed like the best option, though i suggested they find another sheriff when possible.

While on my journey looking into sheriff canidates, i ended up back in Sloan, near where the man in the checkered suit and his goons ambushed me. Fixed up their generator and helped their pet mole rat. Couldnt deal with the deathclaws, but hey, maybe in the future.

Fuck that hurt. Checkered Suit wearing bastard. Him and his goons jumped me in Sloan after I ran into the wrong end of a fucking deathclaw pack. Tied me up, stole the thing i was supposed to deliver, gave an pretentious ass monologue, then shot me in the head. Some bot named Victor dug me out, which i will be grateful for, and Doc Mitchell patched me up. Took a bit to get it all right and for me to recover apparently.

He made sure i was on my feet, gave me my old stuff plus a pipboy he had, and sent me to get introduced to Goodsprings. First time in town and it seems pretty nice, Sunny was helpful in getting my bearings, and i helped her clear the wells. Trudy seems nice, if a bit overly weary of Victor, and Pete has some good sense for someone dealing with dynamite regularly.

A trader named Ringo got caught up in some shit with the Powder Gangers, who have started causing trouble since i was out. From what i can tell they were formed after some 'genus' in the NCR gave a bunch of convicts dynamite. How they couldnt see that coming is beyond me, especially when most of them are political prisoners who really dont like the NCR.

Anyway, I helped them defend themselves and Ringo, though Sunny got a little beat up along the way. Im heading off to Primm next, since i couldnt really go through the Deathclaw pack before, let alone without my old gear.

I fucking got her. That bitch who stole my name and caused problems all through the NCR. Even all the way out to the Mojave. Didn't put up much of a fight from a range. That will teach her to steal the name of a former ranger.

I can't go back west now with how my reputation has gone cause of her. That plus deserting to hunt her down means if i go back to Shady Sands I'm fucked. I guess the Mojave is my new home.

I think New Vegas might be a good place to go, heard there was group of Followers here, they could probably use my skills as a guard and a mechanic and not care about my history.

So an update on my FNV playthrough and journal entries.

This will be the end of Selene Volnov's journey for now. This original set was done off the cuff because @falloutnewvegastransedmygender proposed doing this, and i just sorta jumped into it. But there have been some points i have not enjoyed with the character and the journal entries i wrote, and such.

My plan currently is to get my New Vegas install modded out a bit more then just some stability stuff, and then start a new playthrough with a new character. This one will have a background thought out a bit more and more to her characterization.

I want to tell a story i will enjoy and be proud of writing with the Journals, and so a new start will be needed. Selene will return, in an updated capacity. I plan to do this in a few weeks, as i will be taking a break from writing and tumblr in general soon.

What the hells have i gotten myself into? Benny is dead and the Chip has been recovered. And it turns out that Benny is more of a brilliant bastard then i thought. He had this whole plan to take over the damn strip himself, all stopped by him not being able to get into the Lucky 38.

Which i can do.

And i know what the chip can do, approximately. Basically take over House's network and his securetrons. And on top of that, the wolf wearing bastard from Nipton invited me to see Caeser. Now since he was unguarded this time, i took some revenge for the innocent of Nipton and all others he fucking slaughtered.

So now i have a choice. Work for House and give him control, letting capitalism take the reigns. Like that worked in the old world. Work for the NCR, and have a similar issue with House, just with the issues that plagued the USA amplified by the wasteland. Work for Caeser, and become a gym gear wearing fascist. Or take over the strip myself, and fight for an independent Vegas.

Nothing is a good option. Do i really think i can do better at running Vegas? Could I make things better? I mean, Idependent Vegas might be chaotic for a bit, but with Houses forces, and some allies from around the Mojave, i might be able to make something better.

Well ive made it to New Vegas. And the great Mr. House has made me the most known person on the damn strip. Fuckin Courier job couldnt just be simple.

After leaving the 188 i traveled up to Vegas, said hi to Ringo from Goodsprings at the Crimson Caravan Company, found a medical clinic run by the Followers out by there too. I remember them, they were a good bunch for the most part back north.

Got into freeside easy enough, played some Blackjack at the Wrangler to get my cap stash up, plus sold off some weapons i picked up to the gun runners robot. all that together got me enough money to get into the strip. From there Victor arrived, and directed me to go into the Lucky 38. It seemed less invitation and more direction at the end of a gun, so i followed. Apparently House was the one who hired me to transport the chip, and he wants it back big time.

Left Novac behind following the trail of Benny up to Boulder City. The Khans that were with him were holed up there and I got what info i could out of them. Sadly they had taken some hostages. Now while I aint the biggest fan of the NCR, i also aint a fan of the people who tried to kill me taking more people hostage. Got the NCR folk out and took care of the Khans. Wasnt the cleanest but i got a 9 mil submachine gun out of it, will help since my pistol and service rifle aint doing the best recently. Damn Legion got some armor on them.

On my way out Victor, that bot that dragged me out of the grave, found me. Us running into each other at Novac may have been coincidence, but again in Boulder City. Hes following me, i bet it. Got something to do with that Chip i was supposed to deliver.

Passing through the 188, i talked with a few of the traders there, and this gal Veronica caught my attention. Apparently she is a member of the Brotherhood, asked if she could come along and such. I thought it wouldnt be too bad an idea, especially cause she can defend herself. Shes quite nice, doesnt seem much like most BoS people i encountered back north.

It has been a long two days. Went looking around near Novac, hunted some golden geckos and found a guy in a radsuit with some radioactive material. Had no clue what it was for but seemed valuable. Tried going down the road to the river, see what was going on there, got stopped by some NCR ranger who said if i went past there id either get killed by the Legion at their camp, or him if i came back after being friendly with the Legion. Aint much to say i left right after that, dont wanna deal with some guy with a gun and thinking he got more power then he does.

REPCONN was... interesting. While some of the ghouls had gone feral, a decent group of them werent and were held up with a human named Chris in one of the upper levels. I helped them out with their "demon" problem, as Jason Bright called them. The Demons were just some Nightkin on the search for stealth boys, convincing them there were none here got them out with minimal causalities.

After that Jason had Chris send me on another errend, getting some thrust control modules from the old scrapyard. It was there that EDE played some audio log, where it turns out it came from DC. Hell of a trip this little guy was on, especially for a Enclave bot. Guess it broke down after reaching here and finding no Enclave left. Either way the little bots helping out, so i wont complain.

Bringing Chris those modules and that radioactive stuff i found finished off Jasons big plan to leave earth and go live somewhere in The Great Beyond as he called it. Left Chris behind, hurt him a lot, saying he couldnt join but he would be a saint and the redeemer of humanity. Got Chris set up in Novac doing some engineering, and he seems to be acclimating well, ill check in whenever im here.

Speaking of, that nice old lady who rented me my hotel room, turns out she aint so nice, sold an ex-NCR snipers wife into Legion Slavery. I helped him get his revenge. I know what its like to be betrayed like that.

Next stop is gonna be Boulder City, the 188, and then Freeside. Got the name of the guy who shot me. Benny. Name even fits for a prick like him.

Been on the road a bit more then I'm used to. Mojave is a long road of fucked up for the most part. Finally got somewhere i can stay a bit, a bed and stuff.

Nipton was a wreck. Fuckin Legion came through and killed the whole town off in some sick fuckin lottery. Two of them got to live, one with their legs broken, and the other fully free to go. The mastermind behind it spoke to me outside the town hall. He didn't kill me, just told me to tell everyone of what the legion did to the town. Going on about how they were messed up and degenerate. Fascist fucks. Couldn't take them on though, too many of them. That wolf skin wearing ass will not live if i find him again.

Went back to the Mojave outpost and Primm after that, needed some time before i pushed forward. Got a Service Rifle off the Lacey at the outpost and a round for me and Cass. Stopped back by the Mojave Express to catch up with Nash, resupply, and fix up that old bot of his. Just needed some mechanical parts done, luckily for me.

With that it was through a box canyon that i got ambushed by some Vipers in, and then fighting off some legionaries along the road. Freed some captives and everything.

Now that i have a place to camp out here in Novac, think im gonna stick around, search through the ruins and help out a little. Apparently theres some issue up at the REPCONN test site with some ghouls, and I saw some town to the south that might be worth checking out, at least for some loot.

West is a mess with the NCR unable to keep themselves stable, especially with how they are expanding, East is a mess with the Legion fucking everything up there, Vegas was a mess when i passed through there with House segregating everything by how much cash you gots. Can't go south, there aint anything there, and North only leads to my old life of working on machines, Raiders, and a new force of Legion i heard. No one round here is gonna make things better, at least of the major players.
