your typical whump newbie

the caretaker finds the whumpee where the whumper had been keeping them, and unlocks their chains or handcuffs, and brings them to the car

but the whumpee is breathing heavily, and their eyes are searching all around, and their head is lolling

the caretaker realizes that the full extent of the whumpee’s injuries, and that there’s no way they’ll be able to save them

so instead they just pull over on the side of the road and hold the whumpee’s broken body, wipe away the blood trickling from the whumpee’s mouth

the caretaker rubs the whumpee’s back as they cough up more blood, and tries in vain to comfort the whumpee

they hold the whumpee close, silently crying as they feel the whumpee’s back arch and the whumpee goes into convulsions

“Shh,” the whumper whispered into the whumpee’s hair, holding them close. “You did so well. So good, so quiet for me.”

The whumpee whimpered a bit at the words, trying to turn their head away from the whumper’s threatening smile.

“I think you deserve a reward,” they continued, forcing the whumpee to make eye contact by grabbing their chin. They were lying in the whumper’s lap, too weak to move but their eyes still burned with hatred for their captor.

“What do you think?” There was no reply, just the quiet sound of the whumpee’s strained breaths. “No requests?”

“Well then,” the whumper announced, taking their captive into their arms, making sure to press into their new wounds. “I suppose I’ll give you a bath.”

‘Touch’

So violence and whump often go hand in hand right? But what I think is underrated is touch.

Non-sexual, at first non-con touches. Touching the shoulder, the arm. Rubbing the back of whumpee’s hand. Gentle touch of the cheek. And my favourite, touching the whumpee’s head. Running hands through their hair.

Maybe the whumpee tries to get away. Maybe they melt into the touch and hate that they love it.

But inevitably, they start loving it, start craving it.
