Itâs been forever since weâve done a Shooter of any kind and this definitely reminded us of why we stopped in the first place đ
Forevermore in pursuit of Eventide Oyster Co.âs Lobster Puff
Having been cooped up for far too long in our tiny BK studio apartment, we shellfishly (ba dum, tssss) decided it was time for a road trip up the coast to Portland, Maine. It was a blissful 5 day away from the city and I now have dreams of the Lobster Puff from Eventide Oyster Co. Day 1 | November 4th
The drive up from NYC to Portland only took about 5 hours but felt forever after a full work day
Day 2 | 5th
Explored Old Port area (found boba milk tea at Uncharted, looked through some old records at The Merchant Co., checked out Sea Bags that makes bags out of old sails, walked through Longfellow Books)Â
Grabbed drinks at the Portland Hunt & Alpine Club
Had dinner at Fore Street
Day 3 | 6th
WFH at the AirbnbÂ
Dinner at Scales
Day 4 | 7th
Went back to Uncharted for more milk tea
Drove through Fort Williams Park and saw the Portland Head Light
Checked out two Bite Into Maineâs back-to-back; the one at the park was much better, in my opinion
Killed time over drinks at Sebago Brewing Company at a Hampton Inn because we didnât get to Eventide Oyster Co. early enough for a walk-in dinner
Stayed close to midnight at Eventide and had so, so, SO much food; ordered an extra order of their Lobster Puff for our drive back the next day
Day 5 | 8th
Checked out Harbor Fish Market for some fresh seafood to cook back in NYC
Had an early lunch at the OG Lukeâs LobsterÂ
Drove back home wishing we had buffered more time to stop by kitschy landmarks along the way
Our lunch at Blue Hill Stone Barns felt like such a luxury, especially during a pandemic. The drive out of the city to Stone Barns in itself felt like a staycation of sorts; it was so green and everything smelled so fresh. And that pork â MMM đ
We did a thing and moved to NYC.

November 29, 2019 | dĂa cuatro and Just đđź Couldnât đđź Get đđź Over đđź This đđźCeiling đđź Itâs my second time back in Mexico City and I made it a point to stop by the Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico just to enjoy this stained-glass roof by Tiffany & Co. again and it was so worth it.

On our most recent trip to Mexico City, we ordered one of the best milk green teas Iâve ever had~ And we stumbled upon the place entirely by happenstance!
November 28th, 2019 | dĂa tres and happy Thanksgiving!Â
Some pictures of the pretty (and delicious!) food we had at Quintonil â¨
Mexico City has some of the biggest and brightest sunflowers Iâve ever seen:

One of the best quesadillas Iâve had on this trip to Mexico City in my life is from Jenniâs - the famed quesadilla lady of Roma Norte posted up on the corner of Colima and Merida.

Going through Euro trip pics, battling post-travel blues, and reminiscing on my favorite meal from this recent Paris trip - La Mère Poule | 101 Rue Oberkampf, 75011 Paris, France

Kick starting our Euro trip was a quick 27 hours in Vegas for Bearsâ proposal to Wenders. Jase upgraded us to First Class on our bright and early 7a Alaska flight, which meant we were up at 4:45a for it, and we so, so wished this was for our LAS to EWR flight instead because we know weâre going to be screwed from the lack of sleep, but we donât have any more Alaska/Virgin flights on the rest of our itinerary, so it was what it was and I am still grateful. After landing in LAS, we picked up our rental van, and popped by Egg Works for some breakfast + for a quick work sesh. We tapped out at noon and headed to the Airbnb for a catnap before RiSE Festival. We started making our way out to Jean Dry Lake for RiSE around 4p, and from arrival to proposal, the time flew. When everyoneâs (except Bearâs & Wendersâ, as intended) lanterns have successfully floated off into the night sky, and as Wenders was trying to capture a video of the stunning sight, Bear walked her down memory lane before getting down on one knee and asking the question. From a shocked-silly Wenders: âAre you f*cking kidding me right now..â is the appropriate and acceptable reaction/response. Following RiSE, we headed back to the Airbnb for a quick a regroup before heading to Hash House A Go Go for a late night bite. And as we made our way out of the venue, the parking lot was a shit show - I accidentally drove in the oncoming traffic lane, and Wenders & I got to go over what had just happened (the proposal, not the traffic). In the years that Iâve known this darling gem, I have never, ever seen or heard her happier, and that makes me full of warm and fuzzy feelings, grinning silly head-to-toe. All the thought and planning Bear put into the proposal, everything leading up to the big moment, and the proposal itself was so precious, I had tears throughout - I find it extremely romantic that they had met in Vegas and they agreed to be each otherâs for life in Vegas. Itâs a full circle to the start of a new chapter in their lives. And Jason & I made it to Hash Houseâs parking lot, but decided then that we should probably head to our hotel for a good nightâs rest before the official start to our Euro trip, aka a 5hr flight to NY + a 6hr layover + the actual flight into Spain. Goodnight for now.

Lok Baintan Floating Market | Banjarmasin, Indonesia 10/10 determined to experience a sunset at this floating market
One of my favorite moments from our Portland, OR trip earlier this year was stopping by the LAIKA Studios (unannounced, of course - they donât do official tours of their studio). If any Laika superfan happens to be in San Diego this wknd, the studios is doing a pop up event at 520 Fifth Avenue between 7/14 to 7/23. More deets and official hours can be found on their site: http://laika.com/
