Random Woobie-isms

I’m so lonely. I am married, and my husband is wonderful, so I’m luckier than most. We’re good friends, as well as life partners, and that means so much. But I don’t really have any friends. And my family seems to have left me behind, once I stopped being the one who did all the driving to get together. Now I have mobility issues, and I’ve lost a lot of my independence. I’m working to try and get better, but it’s a slow process.

And before I hear “you know the phone works both ways”, calm down. I do reach out, and when I do I get some responses, but almost no one in my family reaches out to me, except my nephew. I’ve started to feel like I’m begging when I ask for company, and I know I’m being left out of get togethers and fun occasions. And I get it, including me means making an extra effort, and I’m not as much fun as I used to be before I became consumed by chronic pain.

I’m lonely and sad. And I’ve directly asked to be kept in mind and included.

I feel heartbroken. And I worry about my future, if something were to ever happen to my husband and I was alone. I’d end up in a care facility. With no visitors. Like so many people. It’s a terrifying notion.

I wrote this here because I think I only have bots as followers, so it’s a safe place to vent. But in case this sees any human eyes, thanks for listening.
