Wonder Care Presents: Replay Activity Book!

JUSTIN: Let’s celebrate the birthday of our Wonder Care writer, Victor Dandridge, with the a look at the final cover for our RePlay Activity Book! Be sure to check this out around FCBD!

VICTOR: The road to the RePlay Activity Book ACCIDENTLY began just a little over a year ago, while putting together our first TPB, Some Kinder Wonderful.  Despite all the cool projects and puzzles we created for the individual issues, we wanted to keep libraries and schools in mind, and NOT encourage readers to write or mark up the books in any way.  Believe me, it was a tough decision, but one we thought would ultimately prove better for sales and interest.  But, quickly (though not quietly!), the push for longtime fans to bring back the activities was FAR TOO GREAT!  

The only problem was, how do we keep it in the same school-centric themes we've built the series around??

A thoughtful suggestion by my lifelong bestie gave the perfect solution -- create a substitute teacher who assigns the projects as practice and review!  The idea struct like a Smite-ning Bolt and with some careful planning and designs with Justin, our Scholastics Utilities Bot -- or S.U.B. was born and the RePlay Activity Book was a few page layouts away from being done!  I'm putting the last few pieces together now, so look for it to be available by FCBD!  

A New Pin-Up by Alejandro Rosado

Upon hearing the news of allegations of abusive misconduct by cartoonist Guy Gilcrest, we have decided to pull his pin-up from Volume One of Wonder Care Presents: The Kinder Guardians.

As a creative duo, we strive to put the very best into our comics. We care deeply about these characters, their stories, and the merits of the Wonder Care series including ALL contents that are a part of it.

We are excited and very thankful that Alejandro Rosado provided this amazing new pin-up which will go into future print iterations of the Volume One Trade Paperback.

Thank you to the fans of the series as we look forward to bring new adventures of The Kinder Guardians in 2018.

The B Files: S.U.B.

JUSTIN: WOW! Has it really been over a year since we posted a comic?! Yes. It’s true. We took some time off to focus on other projects and flex our creative muscles elsewhere. But we are finding our footing again and sure enough, school will be back in session! I know when we last left yout, we teased something big for The Kinder Guardians. Today we have another tease, ANOTHER new character that we will be implementing into a future Wonder Care project.

VICTOR:  Even the BEST teachers needs a little help! Meet S.U.B., an ancillary sort of faculty member of our favorite Wonder Care facility.  While we've certainly enjoyed ALL the adventures that have included the enigmatic Ms. Teri and the ever-helpful, BlackBoard, S.U.B. was created to fulfill a unique opportunity -- one born from a design intent of our first collected volume of Wonder Care.  So, just HOW will S.U.B. mesh into the Wonder Care-verse?

JUSTIN: Here we are! The end of Season Four. It’s become custom here, for Victor to once again brilliantly tease us with a sneak P.E.A.K. (heh see what I did there?) of what’s to come.

VICTOR: The P.E.A.K. Kids first premiered in "Goodie-Good" (Sept. 2015), the strip that both introduced the newest Kinder Guardian, Cub and set the stage for the fourth issue, "The New Kid."

This week, the kids bring their beloved teacher up to speed from our FCBD special earlier in the year.
