Suburban Ennui

The majority of our poolside chaise lounge chairs (4) are from my aunt’s old condominium. When they decided to upgrade the community pool, she asked if she could take some of the old chairs and they told her to have at it. This was many years ago. It never occurred to me at the time to tell her take ten of them. I wish I had. I’ve been searching for new chairs for the last few years and they are so bloody expensive. Anything decent is like $200 at least. I’ve even been combing the free and used for sale listings too and it’s rough out there. Chairs we bought at Target the first summer here (16 years ago) finally bit the dust so things are getting desperate. Have even considered re-wrapping the broken chairs but that is a DIY way above my crafty capacity. Of all the pool expenses I never imagined the lounge chairs would bankrupt us.

My sister texted me today that she had zucchini blossoms from her garden. I have not had any yet this summer so we hightailed it over there to pick them up. They’re soooo good.
