There is nothing like using a back scratcher on a itchy sunburn.
Wouldn’t it be crazy if I suddenly developed some kind of seafood allergy after a week of eating seafood all week?

So proud of Boy Interrupted for shucking close to 30 oysters and it was his first time too! They were so delicious and Copps Island Oysters were very generous with the box they packed for us on ice for the ride home. I think we made a good decision buying them to bring home from the store versus stopping at their oyster shack to eat them there. We steamed some fresh corn and small potatoes, whipped up a mignonette sauce for the oysters and melted some butter. Then Mr. Interrupted swung by the supermarket for some steamed lobsters. This was possibly the best meal we had all week and the least expensive too. Wish I was still at the beach, but it’s good to be home.
We made a little pit stop in Norwalk, CT on the way home this afternoon to extend our vacation.
Fudge sounds good on paper but it’s usually a disappointment.
Eating so many oysters right now and it’s the best.

Mr. Interrupted just asked the kids if they’d ever been to Stone Cold Creamery.
Is it the water here or the salt air? I don’t know but my hair looks amazing and I hardly did anything. In other news, I accidentally burnt myself to a crisp. It doesn’t hurt but it definitely looks alarming.
Wish you were here
Vacation has officially started
We dropped the dogs off less than two hours ago and Martha already climbed the stairs and pooped in my sister’s bedroom. She typically avoids stairs and she literally just pooped when we dropped her off so that’s going well. I better buy them a good gift for dog-sitting.

Once again I am overpacking for this trip. It’s good that we’re driving but the amount of stuff I’m bringing is ridiculous. One of these days I will learn to pack light.
