The last time Tim quit Robin, almost everyone he loved died... so it got me thinking:
What if Tim was cursed by Gotham to remain Robin?
Gotham needed him. Her protector- Batman- was going off the rails. But she was worried that if another was to fill the role of Robin, they too would eventually leave. So Gotham decided that should someone choose the role, then they would be bound to it forever.
Gotham felt there was time to prepare someone for the eternal role. So that they knew what they were getting into. After all, Batman had always chosen his Robin, and who would want to stand at his side right now?
But Gotham was wrong.
Because here was this boy, offering himself up unknowingly. He was the only one to chose the role, born from his pure love for his heroes and his city- her, Gotham.
And Gotham felt grief... this boy so selfless in the face of a raging Batman. He could have chosen to stay safe and warm (if lonely) in his upper class home. But he didn't.
She didn't want him to be cursed to remain a 13 year old child. But at the same time, Robin was meant to be a youth: adults always grew out of that child like wonder, that innocent joy, that light.
Unable to break her own curse, Gotham instead adjusted it. She wanted to give this boy, this Tim Drake the opportunity to live and grow. So instead of cursing him to be Robin and 13 forever, she instead made it so that he could age up until just before he was considered and adult: 17.
But should he leave the role of Robin, his life would start to fall apart and he would be driven to pick up the mantel once more.
Gotham did not feel guilty. She needed her Batman, and her Batman needed a Robin. But there are times when she looks at this boy, at the confusion when he does not age, at the sorrow that taints his soul from his years as Robin, and she wonders if perhaps she made a mistake.
And he has not discovered the curse yet. None of them have. And now as he prepares to try and walk away again, Gotham allows herself to mourn those who will be lost to Tim and her this time around...

the way if tim doesn't stalk dick for a few days dick thinks tim is mad at him and doesn't love him anymore. he panics when on day three he hasn't seen his little stalker around, where is timmy? is he mad at me, did i do something? has anything happened? is he dying? does he not love me anymore? did he find someone better, is he seeing someone else? what if he hates me forever?
and meanwhile tim is sick on his bed fingers twitching every two seconds going completely mad because he hasn't taken any photos of dick since he caught the flu and he needs it okay what if dick did something extraordinary today and he missed it oh no what if he went to teach at the gym and did a really cool routine and tim missed it? what if the wind blew in that perfect way and he missed taking the shot of dick lightly rearranging his bangs? what if the light hit dick just right? now tim won't ever be able to take that photo—
anyways so dick is blowing up tim's phone and by day four he can't take it anymore and goes to gotham, and then he finds tim all sick and miserable in bed reviewing old albums of dick's robin days crying and shaking because he wants to stalk dick so much, why can't he? and dick's so fucking relieved he literally jumps tim and melts into a puddle when tim beams at him so happy to see him and hugs him back <3
they end up cuddling all day to make up for the few days they couldn't stalk/get stalked. it was very difficult for both of them, you see
THEY ARE THE BROTHER’S EVER DAMIAN LOVES HIS OLDER BROTHER AND TIM LOVES HIS LITTLE BROTHER AND THEY HANG OUT AND TIM WANTS TO HANG OUT WITH HIM AND THEY WILL CONTINUE TO HANG OUT SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP
A drag path but it's Krypto laying on the Kent front porch refusing to eat or move for days and days because he's waiting for his boy that he loves to come home but won't because he died fighting an alternate universe version of himself.
But Krypto can't understand what his people are saying so he doesn't get why his boy won't come back, but he knows that he misses him with his entire being. And his boy's friends come to visit but both smell sad and Krypto can't smell his boy on them anymore.
And then Krypto's other humans start coming around the farm more and they smell worried when they look at him. Yet Krypto doesn't know how to feel about them because he loves them so very much, but his boy always smelled lonely even when they were around as well.
So Krypto just stays at his place on the porch where he would always wait for his boy to come home from school or his adventures with his friends, and wonders where his boy could have possibly gone that Krypto can't hear or see him anymore...

Although I only want to focus on actively posting 1-2 fics at a time on ao3, I also want to share all the works I have going on right now, so I'm going to start posting about them here :D

WIP 1: Are You Lost or Are You Free?
"Are you drunk!?"
Jason's head rolled against Tim's shoulder. He opened his mouth, voice slurring out, "I regret you."
Tim winced. "Gee, thanks."
"No no," Jason ground out. His hand reached up, the tips of his fingers tracing carefully over the scar on Tim's throat, barely peeking out over his cape.
Tim's breath caught.
"I regret," Jason whispered.
"Yeah," Tim swallowed harshly. "Me too."
So basically, this stemmed from my desire to read fics regarding Jason and Tim trying to be brothers, but both being emotionally constipated about their history together. I like to think Jason actually likes Tim, but feels too bad about trying to kill him. Meanwhile Tim will give Jason shit for every little thing, but deep inside he's worried that Jason actually doesn't like him. Basically, both boys inherited emotional constipation from their Mama Bruce and miscommunication, which eventually comes to a head.
This fic will probably be a 1 shot(?), but I'd be open to making it longer and having Jason reconcile with each of his family members.
Headcanon that Tim is the least likely to cry out of the Wayne kids. Like bffr, bro was cracking jokes while his brother(s) tried to kill him, and his version of grieving was bordering the line of going Luthor brand of villain.
But imagine he's a sad drunk.
And when Jason finally convinces him to go out drinking after he's old enough (if you know what panel I'm referencing then kudos), Tim doesn't know his limits and takes one sip to many.
And suddenly Jason has a blubbering baby bird on his hands. Predictably he panics and calls the rest of the family to figure out what to do.
But they all just bluescreen cause they've never seen Tim like that either.
Eventually Jason gets Tim to calm down and bundles him into one of his safe houses. The next day Tim doesn't remember crying all over his brother and acts like his normal bitchy self.
And Jason has the kiddie gloves on cause he doesn't know what repressed trauma his brother might have and its only pissing Tim off cause he hates being treated like a child.
And then Bruce calls and he's like "your room is finished". And Tim is just "???", because while he was about to shank Jason in the kneecaps for being weird, Bruce had spent the night freaking out and moving all of Tim's stuff back into the Manor cause he thought his baby needed more love and support.
