THE SPIRIT OF BELIAL!
THE SPIRIT OF BELIAL!
Deuteronomy 13:13
The spirit of Belial represents rebellion, lawlessness, and moral decay, yet Scripture also reminds us that God gives His people grace, wisdom, and strength to walk in His ways. Belial describes the influence that resists divine authority, but Christ calls us into a life of freedom, purity, and joyful obedience.
The Lord warned Israel about âsons of Belialâ who could lead a city into idolatry, showing how important it is to guard the heart and remain rooted in covenant loyalty. This warning is also an invitation to stay close to God, whose presence keeps us steady, discerning, and faithful.
Paul later contrasts Christ and Belial in 2 Corinthians 6:15, revealing the beauty of belonging fully to Christ. Where Belial points to deception and rebellion, Christ leads us into truth, holiness, peace, and the strength to live as children of light.
In Christ, light is stronger than darkness.
Throughout Scripture, Belial is connected with worthlessness, moral looseness, and the rejection of Godâs standards. Yet every example also points us back to the need for reverence, compassion, and a heart that is continually shaped by the fear and love of God.
In 1 Samuel 2:12, the sons of Eli are called sons of Belial because they lost reverence for holy things and dishonoured the place of worship. Their story reminds us to cherish Godâs presence, handle sacred things with humility, and allow the Lord to keep our hearts tender before Him.
In 1 Kings 21, the false witnesses who accused Naboth are described as sons of Belial, showing the danger of using words and influence unjustly. As believers, we are called to speak truth, defend righteousness, and use our voices to build rather than destroy.
Belial fuels injustice, false accusation, and the abuse of power, but the Spirit of God raises a standard of truth, mercy, and godly order. Wherever Christ is honoured, hearts are restored, truth is strengthened, and righteousness begins to flourish.
Belial operates wherever rebellion against Godâs authority is welcomed, especially in places where correction is rejected, accountability is resisted, or self will is exalted. Yet the good news is that the Lord has given believers everything needed to stand firm. James 4:7 declares that when we submit to God and resist the devil, he must flee. Submission is not weakness; it is the doorway into strength, peace, and victory. Walking in the Spirit empowers us to reject compromise and embrace holiness with joy. Renewing the mind dismantles deception and strengthens discernment. Godly accountability protects the heart and helps us remain fruitful. A consecrated life becomes rich soil where obedience, purity, and spiritual confidence can grow. Christ has already triumphed over every spirit of darkness, and those who stand under His authority stand in victory. Even today, when compromise, spiritual apathy, or self rule try to take root, the grace of God is greater. He keeps calling His people into deeper freedom, stronger conviction, and a joyful life of surrender.
The Holy Spirit lovingly exposes every pattern that weakens our walk with God and gently calls us back into alignment with Him. He restores reverence, strengthens conviction, renews discipline, and empowers obedience. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, the influence of Belial cannot remain. As you reflect on this, invite the light of Godâs truth to search your heart with love and mercy. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any area that needs healing, strengthening, or renewed surrender. The Lord desires a people who walk in purity, honour, and obedienceâpeople who reflect Christ in character, speech, and conduct. His grace is sufficient to cleanse, restore, and empower you to live fully under His Lordship.
As believers, we are invited to walk daily in the light, strength, and victory of Christ. When our hearts are yielded to Him, the Holy Spirit fills us with wisdom, renews our desire for holiness, and empowers us to live with joy, humility, and confidence in Godâs unfailing grace.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
⢠Where is the Holy Spirit inviting me into greater freedom, discipline, and joyful obedience?
⢠Which relationships or environments help strengthen my faith, purity, and spiritual convictions?
⢠What grace-filled steps can I take this week to grow stronger in holiness, wisdom, and obedience?
PRAYER. Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for the victory, light, and freedom found in Christ. I surrender every area of my life to Your Lordship and receive grace to walk in holiness, obedience, and truth. Let Your light strengthen my heart, renew my mind, and guide my steps. Fill me afresh with the Holy Spirit, establish me in righteousness, and help me reflect the character of Christ in all I do, in Jesusâ name. Amen.

CHILD-FRIENDLY THE SPIRIT OF BELIAL!
CHILD-FRIENDLY THE SPIRIT OF BELIAL!
Deuteronomy 13:13 ICB
that evil men have moved in among you. And they might lead the people of that city away from God. They might say, "Let's go and worship other gods." (These are gods you have not known.)
The spirit of Belial means a spirit that pushes people to do wrong, disobey God, and ignore what is good. But the Bible also shows us that God gives His children grace, wisdom, and strength to follow His ways. Belial tries to pull people away from God, but Jesus calls us to live in freedom, purity, and joyful obedience.
God warned Israel about âsons of Belialâ who could lead a whole city into idol worship. This teaches us to guard our hearts and stay close to God. When we stay near Him, He helps us stay steady, wise, and faithful.
Paul also talks about Christ and Belial in 2 Corinthians 6:15, showing that Jesus brings truth, holiness, peace, and light. Belial brings lies and rebellion, but Jesus brings life and goodness. Light is always stronger than darkness.
In the Bible, Belial is linked to bad behaviour, disrespect, and ignoring Godâs standards. But every story reminds us to love God, honour Him, and keep our hearts soft toward Him.
In 1 Samuel 2:12, the sons of Eli were called sons of Belial because they did not respect Godâs house. Their story teaches us to honour Godâs presence and treat holy things with care.
In 1 Kings 21, the false witnesses who lied about Naboth were also called sons of Belial. This shows how dangerous lies and wrong influence can be. God wants us to speak truth and stand for what is right.
Belial pushes people toward rebellion, but God gives us power to stand strong. James 4:7 says when we submit to God and resist the devil, he must run away. The Holy Spirit helps us choose holiness, truth, and obedience every day.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
⢠How is the Holy Spirit helping me grow in obedience and freedom

⢠What can I do this week to grow in holiness and wisdom
PRAYER: Father, in Jesusâ name, thank You for the victory and freedom we have in Christ. Help me obey You with joy. Fill my heart with Your light and make me strong in truth and holiness. Holy Spirit, guide me every day and help me live like Jesus. Amen.

PIDGIN BUILD AND DEFEND!
PIDGIN BUILD AND DEFEND!
Nehemiah 4
It get seasons wey God dey call Him people make dem no just build, but make dem defend wetin dem dey build. Nehemiah 4 na clear picture of this double assignment. Na chapter full with strategy, prayer, warfare, perseverance, and divine partnership. E remind us say every assignment wey God give go attract resistance, but resistance no be sign make you stopâna sign make you fortify.
Nehemiah receive burden from God to rebuild the broken walls of Jerusalem for Nehemiah 2:12. The work noble, necessary, and God Himself inspire am. But immediately dem start to rebuild, opposition show. Sanballat mock. Tobiah ridicule. The nations join hand to fight. The enemy get one simple plan: intimidate the builders make dem freeze. But Nehemiah understand wetin many believers dey forgetâthe presence of opposition no dey cancel the assignment; e dey confirm am.
When Sanballat dey jeer, Nehemiah no argue. E no enter debate. E no waste emotion explain Himself to people wey don already decide say dem no go understand am. Instead, e pray for verse 4. Prayer be Him first defence, no be last option. And as e dey pray, the people still dey build for verse 6.
Na so spiritual progress dey workâpray and build, build and pray.
But the enemy increase fire. When mockery no work, dem plan physical attack. The enemy dey always increase attack when e see progress. Na the halfway point of any assignment dey dangerous pass. Verse 10 show the internal battle: âThe strength of the labourers dey fail.â External pressure and internal tiredness jam together. But Nehemiah answer with divine strategy: e position families for the wall with swords, spears, and bows for verse 13. E remind dem of their âwhyâ: âRemember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.â
Nehemiah understand say spiritual assignment need spiritual defence. You no fit dey build destiny with your hands and leave your gates open. You no fit dey construct purpose and ignore warfare. You no fit dey advance God kingdom and pretend say the enemy no send you. To build na obedience; to defend na wisdom.
The people begin work with new posture. Scripture say, âThose wey dey build the wall⌠with one hand dem dey work, and with the other hand dem hold weaponâ for verse 17. Na this be picture of mature believerâone hand dey build, one hand dey defend. One hand dey write the vision, the other dey resist the adversary. One hand dey nurture the assignment, the other dey silence the accuser. One hand dey steward the promise, the other dey guard the gates.
This double posture no be fear; na faith. E dey show say God don give you something wey worth to protect. E dey show say spiritual progress dey attract spiritual resistance. E dey confirm say the same God wey call you to build go empower you to defend.
For Scripture, this pattern repeat. Moses build nation, but e still defend am for prayer against Amalek (Exodus 17:8â13). Paul build churches, but e defend the gospel against false doctrine (Galatians 1:6â9). Jesus build Him disciples, but e defend dem for intercession (Luke 22:32).
To build without defence na naĂŻve. To defend without building na stagnation. But to build and defendâna maturity.
Nehemiah story end with victoryâno be because the enemy disappear, but because the people refuse distraction. Dem refuse to stop. Dem refuse to negotiate their assignment. Dem refuse make fear control their pace. Dem build until the wall complete, and the nations around âlose confidenceâ because dem realise say the work finish âwith the help of our Godâ (Nehemiah 6:16).
Your assignment fit dey face resistance. Your progress fit dey provoke warfare. Your obedience fit dey stir opposition. But like Nehemiah, God don call you to build and defend. Build with conviction. Defend with vigilance. Build with faith. Defend with prayer. Build with focus. Defend with spiritual authority.
For the same God wey give you the vision go give you the victory.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
⢠Wetin be the part of my God-given assignment wey dey under attack now, and how God dey call me make I defend am spiritually?
⢠Where I don allow discouragement, mockery, or fear slow down my building?
⢠Which practical and spiritual strategies I fit use to build with one hand and war with the other?
PRAYER: Father, strengthen my hands to build and sharpen my spirit to defend. Like Nehemiah, give me discernment to recognise the schemes of the enemy and courage to stand firm. Make every wall wey You call me to raise complete by Your grace. Surround my assignment with Your fire, my mind with Your peace, and my heart with unwavering faith, in Jesusâ name, Amen.

CHILD-FRIENDLY BUILD AND DEFEND!
CHILD-FRIENDLY BUILD AND DEFEND!
Nehemiah 4
There are times when God wants His people to build something for Him, but He also wants them to protect what they are building. Nehemiah 4 shows this clearly. It is a chapter full of prayer, courage, teamwork, and trusting God. It teaches us that when God gives you an assignment, the enemy will try to stop you. But that does not mean you should quitâit means you should stand strong.
God gave Nehemiah a burden to rebuild the broken walls of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 2:12). The work was important and Godâgiven. But as soon as they started building, trouble came. Sanballat laughed at them. Tobiah made fun of them. Other nations planned to attack them. Their goal was simple: make the builders afraid so they would stop. But Nehemiah knew something important, opposition does not mean God is not with you. It means the work matters.
When the enemies mocked them, Nehemiah did not argue. He did not fight back with words. He prayed (verse 4). And while he prayed, the people kept building (verse 6). This is how spiritual growth worksâpray and build, build and pray.
But the enemy tried harder. When mocking failed, they planned to attack. The people became tired and scared (verse 10). So Nehemiah encouraged them. He put families together with swords, spears, and bows (verse 13). He reminded them of their reason: âRemember the Lord⌠and fight for your families.â
The builders worked differently after that. The Bible says they built with one hand and held a weapon with the other (verse 17). This shows a mature believerâone hand building, one hand defending.
Nehemiah won because they refused to stop. They finished the wall with Godâs help (Nehemiah 6:16).
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
⢠What part of my assignment is being challenged, and how can I pray about it?
⢠Where have I allowed fear or discouragement to slow me down?
⢠How can I build with one hand and pray with the other?
PRAYER: Father, give me strength to build and courage to defend. Help me stay focused like Nehemiah. Protect my assignment and fill my heart with faith. In Jesusâ name, Amen.

AARON'S ROD
AARON'S ROD
Numbers 17:1-13
Before we come to Ezekiel 37 and the valley of dry bones, we are reminded that God has always been in the business of bringing life where there is no life.
Aaronâs rod, or staff, was significant in Godâs plan to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. A rod was a symbol of authority, and shepherds used rods to guide, protect, and correct their flocks, as seen in Psalm 23:4.
Where the presence and glory of God are made manifest, an atmosphere for miracles is created. Luke 1:37 confirms this truth: nothing is impossible with Godânothing, absolutely nothing.
The miracle of the budding rod was Godâs answer to the challenge against Aaronâs authority and priesthood. The Lord had chosen the Levites for priestly service, and the staff became an identified symbol of divine authority, office, and calling.
A rod is deadwood; naturally, it is no longer connected to its source. Yet Christ declares in John 15:5, âI am the vine.â Therefore, anyone and anything connected to Him, though once lifeless, can live again.
This was not a fresh branch still drawing life from a tree. It was a rodâa stick, a dead limbâyet in the presence of God, it became a living testimony.
When the dispute arose, it was brought before the Lord. God instructed Moses to collect a rod from the leader of each tribe, each one representing the authority of that tribe.
Twelve rods were placed in the tent of meeting, before the presence of the Lord, with each ownerâs name written on his rod. Aaronâs name was written on the rod representing the tribe of Levi.
By morning, beyond all human possibility, Aaronâs rod had not only budded but also blossomed and produced almonds. Because it rested overnight in Godâs presence, what was dead came alive.
Aaronâs rod had already been associated with miraculous power. In Exodus 7, God sent Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh, and when Aaron cast down his rod, it became a serpent and swallowed the serpents of the sorcerers.
Now, through the budding and blooming of that same rod, God confirmed again that Aaron was His chosen priest.
There is never a dead place in God!
Whatever and whoever encounters the glorious presence of God can be revived, bud, blossom, and bear fruitâjust like Aaronâs rod.
Hebrews 9:4 tells us that Aaronâs rod remained in the Ark of the Covenant as a testimony of Godâs choice of Aaron and Moses to lead His people.
It took God only âovernightâ to produce life, growth, and fruitfulness inside the tent of testimony.
Beloved, whatever you are facing can still become a testimony by morning. God is able to do suddenly what no man can do gradually.
Life often unfolds in stages, yet in Aaronâs rod we see something extraordinary: bud, blossom, and fruit appeared together by the power of God.
The budding rod became a sign to the rebels in Mosesâ day, and it remains a witness to us today: God is in command of all things, living and dead. Not even death can stop the Father from acting.
This same rod was used as an instrument of judgment and deliverance in Egypt, turning water into blood in Exodus 7:19â21 and summoning the plagues of frogs and gnats in Exodus 8:5â6 and 8:16â17. After Israel was delivered, God set apart Aaron and his sons for priestly service, as recorded in Exodus 28:1 and Numbers 18:1.
In the same way, when we remain in Godâs presence, we too can flourish, blossom, and bear fruit like Aaronâs rod.
Therefore, do not despise what looks dry, delayed, or forgotten. When it is surrendered to God and kept in His presence, He can turn it into evidence of His power, favour, and faithfulness.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
⢠What area of my life feels like âdeadwood,â and how can I intentionally bring it into Godâs presence for revival?
⢠How does Aaronâs rod remind me that God can confirm His calling, authority, and purpose over my life even when others question it?
⢠What testimony am I believing God to bring forth âovernight,â and how can I keep my faith alive while I wait?
PRAYER: Father, as I continue in your presence, let your glory revive me and restore life to every dead area of my life in Jesusâ name. Amen.

CHILD-FRIENDLY AARONâS ROD!
CHILD-FRIENDLY AARONâS ROD!
Numbers 17:1â13
Before we read about the valley of dry bones in Ezekiel 37, the Bible already shows us that God can bring life to anything that looks dead.
Aaronâs rod (a long stick) was very important when God was leading the Israelites out of Egypt. A rod showed authority, and shepherds used rods to guide and protect their sheep, just like Psalm 23:4 says.
Where Godâs presence is, miracles can happen. Luke 1:37 reminds us that nothing is impossible for God.
The miracle of Aaronâs rod happened because some people were arguing about whether Aaron was truly chosen by God to be priest. God told Moses to collect a rod from each of the twelve tribes. Each leader wrote his name on his rod, and Aaron wrote his name on the rod for the tribe of Levi.
All the rods were placed inside the tent of meeting, where Godâs presence was. By the next morning, something amazing happenedâAaronâs rod, which was just a dry stick, had grown buds, flowers, and even almonds! God used this miracle to show everyone that Aaron was His chosen priest.
A rod is dead wood. It cannot grow by itself. But Jesus says in John 15:5, âI am the vine.â When we stay connected to Him, even the parts of our lives that feel dead can come alive again.
Aaronâs rod became a sign that God is in control of everythingâliving or dead. It also showed that God can bring life, growth, and fruitfulness suddenly.
Hebrews 9:4 tells us that Aaronâs rod was kept inside the Ark of the Covenant as a reminder of Godâs choice.
Just like Aaronâs rod, when we stay in Godâs presence, we can grow, flourish, and become everything God wants us to be.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
⢠What part of my life feels âdry,â and how can I bring it to God?
⢠How does Aaronâs rod show me that God can confirm His plan for my life?
⢠What miracle am I trusting God to do for me?
PRAYER: Father, let Your presence bring life to every dry place in my life. Amen.

PIDGIN GODâS SECRET AGENTS: ANGELS ON ASSIGNMENT!
PIDGIN GODâS SECRET AGENTS: ANGELS ON ASSIGNMENT!
Psalm 91:11 âBikos E go kommand en angels make dem protet una for evritin wey una dey do.
Di mystery wey surround angels don make humans dey wonder for generations â no be because dem fine or shine, but because deep inside us, we sabi say di unseen realm dey real and active. Bible don talk am many times: angels no be storyâstory or poem picture; dem be divine beings wey God create, wey dey work like Him secret agents, dey carry out Him will with correct precision and purpose.
Psalm 91:11 remind us say God don give Him angels charge over us, assign dem to watch, guard and guide us for all our ways. Dis heavenly messengers be part of God loving system of protection and revelation, dey work quietly for back even when we no know say dem dey.
Bible describe angels as spiritual beings wey dey stay for God presence, dey worship am steady, and dey respond sharpâsharp to Him command. Even though na only Michael and Gabriel Bible call by name, Scripture make am clear say their number no fit count.
Hebrews 12:22 talk about âinnumerable angels,â one large company of heavenly beings wey dey serve God and dey minister to Him people. Di word âangelâ self mean âmessenger,â and for Bible we dey see dem deliver message from God, give guidance, bring warning, and open heavenly mysteries. Gabriel appear to Zechariah for Luke 1:19 with message wey change history, and dat encounter no be dream or imagination; na real visitation wey angel show physically and talk clearly.
Angels announce Jesus birth, interpret vision for prophets, strengthen God servants wey don tire, and carry divine instruction give people wey God choose for special assignment.
How angels take appear dey depend on di mission. Sometimes dem look like ordinary men, blend inside human environment without anybody noticing. Other times, dem appear radiant, fiery, or full of glory.
Ezekiel see creatures wey get four wings and many faces, dey move like lightning.
Isaiah see seraphim wey get six wings dey shout âHoly, holy, holy.â
But angels fit still hide completely â you fit feel dem but no see dem, you fit hear voice but no see form. Hebrews 13:2 even talk say some people don entertain angels without knowing.
Angels don dey before humans, as Genesis 2:1 and Colossians 1:16 show, and dem don always dey involved for human matter.
For 2 Samuel 14:17, angel dey described as person wey sabi good and evil, and for Daniel 9:22, Gabriel bring understanding give di prophet. Angels dey interested for how God plan dey unfold for our life. Daniel 10:14 show their involvement for human history, and Luke 15:10 show say dem dey rejoice when one sinner repent.
Psalm 34:7 assure us say di angel of the Lord dey camp around people wey fear God, form protective shield wey natural eye no fit see.
Even though angels powerful, glorious and dey make person fear, dem no be who we go worship. When John fall for angel front for Revelation 19:10, di angel correct am sharp, remind am say angels be fellow servants of God. Their work no be to collect attention but to carry out di will of di One wey send dem. Dem dey respond to God Word, no be human command, and dem dey report back to God as we see for Job 1:6 and 2:1.
But God, because of Him love, don assign angels to each of us. Jesus hint am for Matthew 18:10 when He talk about children wey their angels dey always behold di face of the Father. Dis one show say angels dey personally assigned â heavenly guardians wey dey watch our journey with divine attention.
Dem deliver Peter from prison for Acts 12, go ahead of Israel for Exodus 23:20, and surround Elisha with chariots of fire for 2 Kings 6. Their involvement for our life dey hidden many times, but their impact dey clear. We no go ever know how many accidents dem stop, how many dangers dem neutralize, or how many moments of clarity come because angel quietly dey work.
Dem be God secret agents â silent, fast and effective â dey move according to God voice and dey serve Him people.
As believers, we dey waka with confidence knowing say heaven no far or quiet. God don surround us with Him presence and add angelic assistance join. We no dey alone, we no dey unprotected, and we no dey without divine support. Angels no be who we dey worship, but dem remind us of God extravagant care. Their presence dey whisper say spiritual realm dey active, God dey attentive, and Him love dey fierce and watchful.

PIDGIN THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH!
PIDGIN THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH!
ROMANS 1:17 âBikos na di Gospel dey show how God dey take make pipol klean for en eye. From di biginnin go rish di end, God sey, âNa only faith go make pesin dey klean for my eye.
The heartbeat of Christian life na faith. No be faith wey happen once, but faith wey person dey live every day. Romans 1:17 no be just doctrine; na God blueprint on how righteous people go survive, grow, and fulfil destiny. Paul talk say the righteousness of God dey show from faith to faithâmeaning say e dey unfold smallâsmall, step by step. Believer no dey visit faith once in a whileâbeliever dey live by am.
The righteousness of God no dey come by human effort. Na through faith for wetin Jesus don finish. Ephesians 2:8 talk am clear: âNa by grace una don dey saved through faith.â Faith na the door wey open salvation, but e still be the road wey we dey waka every day. The just no dey survive by feelings, situation, or logicâna trust for God character, God Word, and God promise dey sustain dem.
Abraham na strong example. Romans 4:20â21 talk say he no shake for God promise, but him faith even strong pass⌠because he believe say God fit do wetin He promise. Abraham live by faith before law, before cross, before church. Him life show say faith no be religion matterâna relationship with God.
To live by faith mean say your decisions dey stand on God Word, no be on wetin your eye dey see. Faith na daily posture. E mean trust God even when road no clear, when money no reach, when delay dey. Na this be âthe substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.â Faith dey give shape to wetin God talk before e show for physical.
To live by faith no be to siddon look. Faith dey act. Faith dey move. Faith dey obey. Noah build ark before rain ever fall (Hebrews 11:7). Moses stretch rod before Red Sea divide (Exodus 14:16). The widow pour her last oil before miracle start (2 Kings 4:1â7). Faith dey obey even when instruction no make sense.
Faith na journey of growth. âFrom faith to faithâ mean say faith dey grow, stretch, mature. The faith wey you need when you first start with God no be the same faith wey you need for your assignment now. God dey carry us enter places wey go demand bigger trust so that our faith muscle go strong.
Peter waka ontop water because he answer Jesus call (Matthew 14:28â29). Him first steps na faith steps, but when he look wind, fear enter. To live by faith, your eye must dey on Jesus steady. Storm fit blow, but the just go remain anchored.
When believers live by faith, dem dey show God righteousness to the world. Faith-filled life dey preach message wey people dey see. Your obedience, peace, hope, and boldness fit confuse peopleâbut dem go see the fruit of life wey dey rooted for faith. Your life go become letter wey people dey read (2 Corinthians 3:2â3).
Faith no be option. Na essential. Hebrews 11:6 talk say without faith, you no fit please God. Faith dey please God because e dey honour who God be. Faith dey talk: âGod, I believe You be who You say You be, and You go do wetin You talk.â Faith na the oxygen of the spirit. Without am, believer go suffocate under fear, doubt, and self-dependence.
To live by faith na to align with heaven reality. Na to waka with confidence say God dey your side, God dey with you, and God dey work through you. Na to trust say every promise na yes and amen for Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). Na to stand gidigba even when physical things dey talk different from spiritual truth.

PRAYER: Father, thank You say You call me to live by faith and no by sight. Make my heart strong to trust You wellâwell, obey You boldly, and waka with You steady. CHILD-FRIENDLY THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH!
CHILD-FRIENDLY THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH!
Romans 1:17 ICB
The Good News shows how God makes people right with himself. God's way of making people right with him begins and ends with faith. As the Scripture says, "The person who is made right with God by faith will live forever."
Faith is the heartbeat of the Christian life. It is not something we use once in a whileâit is how we live every day. Romans 1:17 teaches that Godâs righteousness is shown âfrom faith to faith.â This means our faith grows step by step as we walk with God. A believer does not visit faith; a believer lives by faith.
We cannot earn Godâs righteousness by trying hard. We receive it because we believe in what Jesus has already done for us. Ephesians 2:8 says we are saved by grace through faith. Faith opens the door to salvation, and it also helps us keep walking with God. The just do not live by feelings or fearâthey live by trusting Godâs Word and His promises.
Abraham is a great example. Romans 4:20â21 says he did not doubt Godâs promise. Instead, his faith grew stronger because he believed God could do what He said. Abraham shows us that faith is not just a church ideaâit is a real relationship with God.
Living by faith means making choices based on Godâs Word, even when we cannot see the answer yet. Faith is trusting God when the way looks confusing, when things seem slow, or when we donât have enough. Hebrews 11:1 says faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we cannot see.
Faith is active. Noah built the ark before rain ever fell. Moses lifted his rod before the Red Sea opened. The widow poured her oil before the miracle happened. Faith obeys God even when it feels strange.
Faith grows. God takes us from one level of faith to another. Like Peter walking on water, we must keep our eyes on Jesus.
Faith pleases God. Faith shows we trust Him. And when we live by faith, people around us see Godâs goodness in our lives.
