I admit I was flattered by his confession and more than a little excited. A man as handsome as M.U. finding me attractive... I never even entertained the slightest idea of love. The idea that teenagers need to "pay" for their mistakes boggles my mind.
Teenagers are basically primed to make mistakes. That's kinda the whole gig. Just old enough to do stuff on their own and still figuring out how to weave in and out of it. It’s worse when they start out as well intended mistakes. Imma be real here, i am a parent. I have a teenager. Sometimes she makes mistakes and learns something. Sometimes she just goes "maybe I didn't break the rules the right way."
So here is the thing. Marinette is 15. 15 is a special age. Later curfew, grown up feelings without grown up knowing, and the unfortunate urge to "handle it yourself".
She has also been handed the literal weight of the world. Which. No 15yo ever is ready for that, and she already had anxiety and imposter syndrome before that started. She is getting terrible advice but she is at this point someone who is suffering under lets call it "chronic trauma". Over and over over again the narrative has demanded that she and only she is responsible for everything that happens around her, to her and through her. She has once used nearly every Miraculous in very short order, and has now fused the cat and ladybug - which I have mentioned is likely incredibly dangerous.
How are people looking at her as some sort of evil villain? People lie about grief all the time. We try to make things gentler. We lie at funerals. Marinette feels both that she failed to save Gabriel and that she as good as killed him. (If she'd been a few seconds faster, he wouldn't have died. That's not rational or right. But it is what she is feeling.
She is a kid. Wrong choices - maybe? Good impulse. Sure. We can give her that. But as much trauma and pressure as she was under at the moment and is still under *now*? From the people she trusts? From the adults around her? Was it a choice that Marinette made or a situation where the window is broken and she's the one left holding the ball?
Learn from it? I have so much fucking compassion for this little girl that at this point I am just rooting for her to *survive* all of this. This is a lot of complex trauma for someone who is already carrying so much. She doesn't need a lesson. She needs a hug. And like yeah, pick your own fandom experience and all that. I have a big block list. But I was 13 when I first joined fandom spaces. And the prevailing attitudes in mlb fandom as a whole make it unsafe for teens and holding hard lines about responsibilities for trauma and trauma reactions.
Life is not a lesson. And trauma doesn't teach anything but an overly active stress responce. So for the teens in mlb fandom - I hope you feel like you can share the hurts you are carrying with a trusted person, I hope they make you feel safe and heard. I hope the only lesson that you learn is that people can be good. Not all of them. Not all of the time. But enough of them to matter. It doesn't matter if the hurts behind those lies are big, small or silly. You deserve to be heard and not to suffer in silence so you "learn."

Like I understand why she chose to keep her mouth shut when London Special dropped and quite frankly, I’m exhausted that people seem to have no grasp or grace for a character making mistakes especially as a teen girl (Female main characters that are hated by majority of the fandom for behavior and mistakes while always giving grace to the other characters WORSE than her will always be my favorite and I will defend them)

Stuck on the fact that someone literally tried to tell me that Sakura being with Naruto would be misogynistic? Some people need to chill out and not throw serious terms out there. Being a fan that loves NaruSaku doesn’t not equal having misogynistic writing towards Sakura just because we aren’t on board with her canon relationship to the second male lead.
NaruSaku. please walk with me. Sakura teaches him how to cook (and other basic life skills) sometime during the boruto time skip because he literally never had time to learn
And when he does get good, he tries to make some of Sakura’s favorite foods and surprises her on a picnic after she has a bad day and didn’t have time to eat anything.
Just announcing that i love Marinette's story arc this season. Love watching her take two steps forward and tripping five steps back. Love watching her dig herself deeper and deeper into this lie until it blows up in her face.
And I'm excited for the payoff, not just the angst and plot ramp-up, but the part where she learns and grows and does better and it eventually makes her and Adrien’s relationship stronger. Bc theirs is the core relationship of the show and that's always going to be the outcome. I want an earned happy ending and I'm sure we'll get one. Because Marinette is a hero in the end, and the writers know this, and we'll see it play out beautifully.

I feel like Marinette's pokemon are mostly self-explanatory (did you guys know Leavanny is known for being a pokemon that makes clothes?). Adrien's are all either single-stage or not-fully-evolved because I feel like it's symbolic; he too is still on a journey of self-discovery, yknow? + absol with the angel wing imagery + minior with the "hiding behind a mask" symbolism. And then morpekos because, you know, hamsters (i think it's technically supposed to be a guinea pig but shhh)
anyway, please don't roast me for my choices lol, but I am interested to hear what other pokemon you guys think they would have! the pokemon they keep in their boxes, etc. there were some others i wanted to give them but I limited myself to only 6 each

Most villains become villains out of hatred, injustice, greed, or to indulge in their nature. But, one must dare say that Tosho became a villain out of love; twisted and abhorrent, but love all the same.

She has always been the meeker one of her siblings, too scared and too desperate to speak up for the sake of peace within this house. But she was Enji's daughter, a man who's Hero's name was Endeavour.
In truth she was a lot more like him than many would realize. Their perfectionist need to overwork themselves, their need to fix things, and their need to see their kin thrive.
So, when she realized her father's and the Hero Society's failures, she decided to tear the entire everything down in order to wean society from relying on Heroes, using her father and his agency as examples.
I am just going to say this straight, as idk if there will ever be a fanfic of this.
Fuyumi believes that by physically and mentally breaking Enji, she would make him see his sins and ultimately redeem him. She does this by, targeting sidekicks, members of his agency, and especially Shoto Todoroki.
She tends to be 'merciful' to UA's students, but will maim cripple them to force them into quitting. She's quite sadistic towards the Pros however.
She has a weird saviour complex. I don't think she truly fully found forgiveness towards Enji or even Touta, but she cannot ever fully hate them as they are her family, so she leans fully into her love for them to punish them accordingly.
Ironically: Even as a villain, Tōshō cannot escape being a daughter, a caretaker, and a sister. Still bound by filial piety and Fuyumi's wish of a fixed family. Reconciling with the family she once saw before.

Ngl, the motivation of being a villain for Tosho is quite strong and something I could definitely see for canon Fuyumi as well. Plus, the amazing vibe you give her gives me chills because those smiles radiates dangerous energy plus I love the crazy look on her.
Quite a double-edged sword with love being the most beautiful experience for humans but can turn a person into wickedness.
