The day before I was stressed out and mildly spiraling, so I decided to crochet leg warmers cause I knew I’d need them soon since it’s genuinely getting cold here. WELL! I chose white, black, and orange, thinking “man I love these colors, nice Halloween colors!” Made the leg warmer in less than a day, wore it the next day, proud of my little accomplishment. Said next day was the day his tour reached my area, SO I WENT IN ALL BLACK AND WHITE WITH THAT LEG WARMER ON.

I DIDN’T KNOW WHY THE COLORS WERE FUNNY EITHER UNTIL TEN MINUTES INTO THE SHOW WHEN HE WAS LIKE “So some of you fuckers have been tweeting about this tour’s color scheme,” pulled up a photo, and I was like D8

It’s hard talk about my home life or IRL stuff this much, but I could really use some help right now. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

tumblr’s algorithm only cares about posts that are reblogged, it doesn’t count likes. posts don’t get promoted or circulated when they only have likes (the way instagram functions), only reblogs matter for increasing reach on tumblr as a platform.

but yeah, tumblr’s system definitely doesn’t advantage non-popular artists, but there’s a big problem from within the community too. i have over 400 followers and i consider myself lucky when more than 2 people reblog my art, so imagine how much worse it is for people with even less followers.
