It is important to note that upsetting material of the extreme and the mundane will appear on this blog as Mr Woe is an evil wizard who turns people's skin inside out for #Science as well as a garden variety bigot raised by a long line of rich white sickos. While he might have realized that the systems of oppression can hurt him too he still thinks that saying "class solidarity" should be a punishable offense. So please take that into account because I'm not going to censor him all that much. I do encourage, however, showing him the consequences of his choices.

i just think it's kind of fascinating that's a thing. he's not even like, morbidly curious/obsessed with his creation, he either can suss it all out himself or knows the process already. it's genuinely not about what he is but who he is. the irony of someone cut from the same cloth as frankenstein being someone who would look past all of that to see the man adam is... it's just very good.

He works very hard to maintain his body, both because he is vain and because exercise, even when chronically ill or disabled, is still really critical to helping keep things in working order. So he does what exercise he can, the most consistent is a daily constitutional walks, though when he’s doing good he can also get in things like pilates (which was originally made for people with limitations) and some minor weightlifting.

His condition is shutting down his organs slowly and so to combat this one of Aurelius’ tactics has become organ transplants. He began planning these out around when he realized he was in the early stages of renal failure. If he has not done these yet it’s because he’s working on the replacements and procedure because naturally he’s making the new organs himself and planning to have this done by himself and Odile.

Aurelius does an exceedingly good job of not looking ill but those who know anything about medicine/the human body/etc or have known him long enough can see the signs of overall decline and when he’s in a rough period.

Aurelius is prone to stomach ulcers, specifically silent ones which lead to sporadic episodes of bloody vomit and stool as well has sharp grueling pain in the abdomen. He is religious now about checking to see if any are forming.

He was caught between two minds. A part of him, the fatherly side, wished to assure her, to soften the blow and make this a teaching moment and not a lecture, but the part of him that was the professional, the man of progress, wanted nothing more to condemn her idiocy and punish her for the failure. In the end the first course won out out of pure pragmatism, he had never found the level of aggression he craved to actually amount to something desirable. He preferred to have those under his authority actually tell him when there were issues.
