You are so used to your features, you don’t know how beautiful you look to a stranger.

It is June. I am tired of being brave.

I like messy people; people who don’t fit in a box or stay between the lines, but whose integrity is greater than any rule book and whose loyalty is stronger than blood.

When you are washing the dishes, washing the dishes must be the most important thing in your life. Just as when you are drinking tea, drinking tea must be the most important thing in your life. Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the whole world revolves—slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future. Live the actual moment. Only this actual moment is life.

These last three years, I know they’ve been hard. But now it’s time to get out of the desert and into the sun, even if it’s alone.

There is something about clinking a glass with someone in cheers. Some ancient god satisfied each time.

Everything interests me, but nothing holds me.
