Always Out Living Everyone || Sarah
âYouâre always so thoughtful, I swear you memory is a thousand times better than mine.â Bucky praises as he relaxes back for a moment. He would get up soon to throw their trash in a bin on the quinjet, but for now he was enjoying the morning with the love of his life. He had known that this would be the longest that she was away from her boys. So, he wanted to do all he could to make her feel more secure in it.Â
âRemember when I was away on a recon mission a couple months ago for a few weeks and you and your boys called me every night? I know theyâll call you. Probably more than once a day too. Their evening will be our mornings.â Mentioning it while he takes one of Sarahâs hands into his own. Smiling with a nod. âSuper mama has super friends. I can text Pete now if youâd like just to give him a heads up. Iâm sure he wouldnât mind swinging by if we ask him to.âÂ
His expression softening, knowing how Sam would get sentimental when he was home with them. Even with Bucky having taken on somewhat of a fatherly role to Sarahâs boys, he didnât cut off the moments that Sam had shared with his girlfriendâs kids. âHe definitely deserves an uncle week with Cass and AJ.âÂ
âItâs not that Iâm worried about being away from them, theyâve spent days... weeks... away from home before. This is nothing.â She shrugs slightly, though she canât help the little furrow in her brows. âIâm moreso worried about Sam, who I know is very capable and can handle this. But, itâs his first time having alone time with the boys for an extended period of time. He promised to call if anything went wrong or he needed help or something happens. I think itâs just the mother hen in me.â She lets out a little huff, shaking her head as she rests her head on his shoulder.
âSorry, itâs fine. I mean, I think the boys will love hanging out with Peter. The kid has so much energy, the boys will be able to let all their energy out and just let loose for once.â A soft satisfied little noise escapes her and she closes her eyes just for a moment. âJust knowing theyâre okay and safe is enough for me. I wasnât always a hover mother, not before... everything happened.â She swallows hard, shaking her head a bit. âBut, I try to give them their freedom. Within reason.â
Sarah canât help the little giggle that spills from her lips at the mention of being called Super Mama. âMm, super mama has a nice ring to it. Though, I donât exactly have any powers like the rest of you do.â She hums softly, nodding a bit. âOh, definitely. I think the boys are absolutely loving having their uncle all to themselves. But, theyâre probably also running around stealing his shield any chance they get.â She laughs again, remembering the time AJ had tried to borrow the shield for show and tell.
âThank you for easing my troubled mind. I know I can be a bit much sometimes. But, you manage to calm the restless waters of my emotions.â She presses a kiss to his cheek, smiling softly. âWhat would I do without you?â
