mello probably got his style because of misa

misa walks into her room and spots mello frantically trying to get out of her fishnets, boots, and a random corset and chains before she walked in (failed)

she's more excited than anything, and takes him shopping the first chance she gets

and at first she was devastated when he grew out of the clothes they'd gotten together. then she realized that she was the size of a 14yo boy and took her brother's hand-me-downs, buying him new things!

i adore destructive older sister misa and overprotective yet even more destructive kid brother mello.

"i can't believe you would put yourself in danger like this!! you're getting involved with kira??" vs "mihael you have been involved in 3 robberies this week. it is tuesday."

light would think mello isnt a threat, he can just write his name down and have it done with!

but mello could and absolutely would rock light's shit the first chance he got. he is an angry teenager with unresolved emotional issues goddammit !!!!

mello probably would fight with light at one point, he's very observational of his surroundings, especially when misa is around. he'd eventually notice that light is mad controlling and manipulative and break out into an argument where light's like "I Simply Do Not Know What You Are Talking About😀" and pissed off itty bitty 15yo MCR fan mello just decks him

"i can't write his name, misa would know! i'd lose her as an asset!" mid-getting his ass beat because he's scared to fight back. ryuk knowingly laughs very hard

misa drags mello off and reprimands him, he gets mad at her and "runs away" to his dear friend matt's house for a couple nights

oh, speaking of matt, they had so many sleepovers that keep misa up. she hated to yell at them, but sometimes she had to, or send them to the livingroom so that the noises of their laughing and playing wouldn't be right on the other side of her wall

every time they walked through the door, misa would tease by asking what mello and his boyfriend would be doing this evening. mello yells at her and runs off to his room while matt laughs at his reaction and is dragged along

a couple years later, mello is going out "to hang with matt." misa says "i hope you and your friend have fun!!" only for mello to say "boyfriend, actually" and slam the door unnecessarily hard from embarassment.

matt could come over often, as his parents were rather lenient, having known misa and mello's parents before they died

little did they know what mello would get matt into.
