Further work on perfecting a Old Fashioned. Slowly getting there.

I had to post this, it's a slight variation on the NY Sour, I was messing around with ingredients and mainly just trying to achieve the separation that you see. Hence alot of discrepancy in some aspects. It's just a test. But I was receiving ALOT of flak from my DC friend about what a NY Sour is, looked like or even if it existed at all. So...here you go.

Made it down to southern California, for truly a last grasp of sun before I hunker down for the winter,… winter drinks, food. It’s quite interesting to be at 78 temp at the start of the day, then a plane flight home and low 40s in the evening…ha ha. Got to visit some friends and family, take care of some personal issues and visit GM, (Miss you buddy) and include much more in a whirlwind tour. You can see from the prior pics made it to an interesting spot. Also thanks to “J” for the company, talk and laughter….you are a amazing person. Till next time.

Made it to the OC, got to experience The Cellar. Cool place, finally got to it and surprised to have something like this near the ol stomping grounds.

An ongoing celebration for myself. First time at Renata

As you can see, made it to the Monterey coast for a special (and ongoing) celebration of this special year. It’s been many , many years since my last visit there and it was great to be back with the crew that I was there with in the first place. To all the new faces and friends I met…you are all great people… hope to see more of you in the future. It was a whirlwind few days, walks on the coast, hanging with friends, drinks, and more drinks to make it all come together. Special places Baja Cantina for the drinks (24oz margaritas!!) Sorry to the waitress with the beautiful eyes, we are not dumbasses… really… Restaurant 1833 for the great setup, vibe and drinks, whiskey cocktail's at The Forge, great place and vibe and to the Alvarado Brewery, we started the event there and ended it there…Ha ha. Much more to say and add, if you ever see me…hit me up, let’s get a drink and I will tell some stories. To MG and JT…you are great people, friends, family. THANK YOU for this…you are truly the best, hence my continued visits to you and your home. Also thanks to MH for making the process easier. Also to ED you made it!!…see you in Portland! May add more in the future of this particular adventure. Some minor stuff coming up….stay tuned.

I love my ice to be crystal clear, and I strive (in vain...so far) but this was a happy effect I got here.
