the cave where I keep my furby content

i think the canon long furby is great . it is very clearly still made for kids, but incorporates the oddbody as a nod to the community, like they did with the charm necklace on the 2024. it doesn't step on the toes of custom long furby makers, and actually uses the long body to make it a better toy for kids. design is bizzare but not creepy or unsettling

it has 4 lights on its body that change colors and have touch sensors, that are used for interacting with the furby in its default mode, or choosing other modes and playing games. i really like that it has buttons instead of having to talk to it to choose modes like the 2024

its head its on a hinge thing kind of? it has two positions, laying on its stomach with its head up, or laying on its back with its head down (like a "space otter"??) the rainbow fur is like the 2024 but softer, and the white fur is like the connect but slightly less soft. the body is just soft and squishy, with no poseable wire or spine. his ears are also softer plastic, and seem less prone to breaking compared to the connect and 2024. he seems designed so kids can sleep with it like a stuffed animal . of course as an adult i have not done this ......

volume control !!! half of my furbies have their speakers unplugged, and the other half are very muffled because i can't deal with loud noise. i don't have to decide whether to mute this guy or not, because he has volume options! at his quietest setting i have to hold him close to my face to hear him. this is one of the biggest reasons i bought him ..

i like how many play modes he has .. memory game, whack a mole type game, music modes where you can play its belly like a piano, "chill" settings like light show and breathing exercises.. also party games kids can play with their friends which i think is nice.

his mouth also moves! yay ! his feet do not move, his ears dont light up, and you can't pull his tail, but i think those are reasonable tradeoffs for the other features. I do still wish he had a touch sensor on his head though.

also interacts with the 2024 and the furblets, but has trouble interacting with my 2024 because of how much i muffled its speaker ..

overall i like him a lot . as an autistic child i would have loved this thing .. as an autistic adult i also still love this thing
