First Time For Everything || Jack & Selina

Selina looked at the table and scratched her head when she saw Jack get bitter at the cherry stem. “Well… It’s just supposed to be fun.” Her voice was soft, but she still kept her smile. As she ate, she continued to people watch. Her eyes noticed a ring in a basket of bread being delivered to a table. Her attention was going back to her date. “Yes, are you?”

Jack followed Selina’s glance to all the other guests. For a moment he watched her watching the people. His own eyes too found the ring in the basket of bread. He was going to pray for the poor bastard that was going to receive that. “Very much. Got all I would ever need at this table. A good drink and my girl.” He returned a smile. “I say that this is a very good night.”

First Time For Everything || Jack & Selina

“Well, I guess it is a mixture of both.” She blushed. The brunette giggled as Jack popped a cherry in his own mouth and tried. When he wasn’t able to tie the knot in the stem, she just smiled politely. “It takes a little bit of practice and your tongue has to be very flexible. You might get it eventually.” When their food made it to the table, she began to dig in. It was really good. The quality of this restaurant that he picked out was fantastic. 

“I don’t need some little piece of fruit to tell me how good my tongue is.” The boy didn’t try to hid his bitterness. Jack flicked the stem off the table, already annoyed with it. When the waiter brought them their food, His dish looked amazing, but not like some other salmon dishes he had back in Miami. Jack had gotten through half of the fish when he looked up at Selina. “Are you enjoying yourself love?”

Smoke Break

Gina gave him a smirk and took the lighter. “Thanks. That must make things interesting, your ability. Do I want to know how you figured it out?” she asked as she slipped another cigarette between her lips and lit it. Handing his lighter back, she sighed and reached her other hand into her bag. “Do you mind?” she asked, holding up a flask. “I have a little problem with vices. One of my vices is how I got my name,” she said with a wink. 

“Probably not. It’s not one of my most prized childhood memories.” Jack tucked his lighter back into his pocket. He didn’t want to talk about that memory either. He tried to keep all of his past deaths in far back of his mind as much as possible. And speaking of keeping those memories away, drinking was always Jack’s solution to that. “Not at all. I’ll join you.” Jack pulled out his own flask out of his inner jacket pocket. “The one you have yet to tell me and the one I ?” He smirked and placed the flask opening to his lips, taking a sip of his favorite rum.

Smoke Break

“Yeah. As well as levitation, generating random magnetic fields, blinding lights and energy bolts that burned a hole through my wall.” She sighed and flicked ashes from the tip of her death stick.”What about you?” Gina asked, leaning back where she was sitting. Taking another long drag and releasing another plume of smoke, she put out the cigarette butt, contemplating lighting another. “To chain smoke or to not chain smoke, that is the question.”  

Jack glanced over to Gogo, noticed she already finished her first stick, while as he hadn’t even gotten half way down. “Retroactive Immortality. Can’t die. Just pop right back up if I do.” So Jack never really had to worry about the effects of smoking or drinking. They wouldn’t be much of an issue for the boy. “ My answer is always yes.” Jack held up his lighter for her for her to use if she decides.

“They won’t stop calling. It’s time for the phone to sleep.” Sighing, Gina took a long drag, itching to reach for her flask. “I don’t blame you. Mine send me away and then decides he wants to come drive me nuts.” In all honesty, she was grateful to be sent away, what she hated was that he had come to her sanctuary. “Sorry about the phone. There’s a reason I leave it in the dorm. I try not to keep them on me. It’s my third this month since I keep getting pissed off and shorting them out with EMPs.” 

Never is his live had Jack met someone who seemed to have the same problems he had. He was sort of creeping him out a bit. But he didn't show it. ‘EMPs?” He asked. Jack never was too interested in other mutations, only if they were deadly. Then he’d made sure to avoid those mutants. His mutation allowed him not to die, but that didn’t mean he enjoyed dying. He didn’t want another death echo in his head. He had enough of those. “Part of your mutation I figure.”

Selina chuckled and picked up the cherry stem. “If you wondered why I was so good with my tongue, it was practice.” She turned red not believing that she had even said that, but placed the stem in her mouth. With a few wiggles of her mouth and nose, she pulled out a tied cherry stem. “See. I had to teach Bellinda how to when we were younger. It’s always been my little trick.”

Jack’s sea blue eyes were fixated on Selina’s month. “Yes, I was very curious.  Just thought were just a natural.” He winked. Jack was now leaning across the table, taking a closer look at the now knotted stem. Jus then a idea popped into the young man’s head. Jack reached over to the other cherry that came with the drink and held it up. He twirled it around a bit before popping it between his lips, sparing the stem. “Well let’s see if I can master your little trick as well.” Once the cherry was gone, Jack replaced the stem in month. It couldn’t be that hard to do. He played with the stem for a minute before spitting it back out, with a decusted expression.
