Bat in the Belfry

Occtis moves through the roving throngs of guests like a shade, content to be ignored by them for the most part. That he's not in his usual garb helps to blend in, having been persuaded out of the Tachonis suit and into a ruffled emerald green shirt that's only a shade or two off from his eyes. He fiddles with the end of his sleeve with a bare hand. It feels odd to not be as covered up as he usually would. He's not certain that he likes this.

This also being Master Lathalia's doing, of course.

"You cannot be seen attending a gala in that," he'd tsked with a flamboyant gesture at Occtis' old suit, the blue light that made up his eyes a little more judging than it had any right to be. "I might have something that would be far more appropriate for such an event. Come along, young man."

He'd led Occtis to a side room and presented him with his current outfit.

The shirt's made of a fine silk so thin as to be nearly sheer, and featuring a neckline that falls past his clavicles in a wide scooping v and is accented with black lace, the same being at the cuffs of the sleeves. The black pants the ends are tucked into are very tight on his long legs with a woven green sash-like belt decorated with chiming silver coins slung at an angle around the waist. A pair of heeled boots hug his calves and come up to just above his knees, and he'd even been made to put silver bangles around his thin wrists. It's overall effect isn't horrible, but not something that Occtis would choose to wear if left to his own devices.
