The tale of the Brothers Wittebane

After The Owl House finale a lot of us were left wanting more. Especially the Wittebane Brothers Fandom who grew attached to to a goop monster, his barely animated brother, and an implied Clawthorne with no face reveal.

Now a bunch of artists, animators, writers, voice actors and editors are making a fan episode focusing on their backstory!

Hey guys, it's been awhile since our last post. I just wanted to poke my head back in here and apologize for the radio static. We've been so busy working on the project itself that we've kinda neglected the Tumblr side of things… again…

For those of you who do not know who we are, we are a group 67 creatives covering every field of the animation process working on a special length full colored fan-episode of the Owl House following the story of the Wittebane Brothers. At the moment we are just over a year into production and have already made a ton of progress on the final version of the episode. Having said that, it is far too soon for me to even attempt to predict a project release date as there are several factors making an accurate estimate impossible; most important of which is that we need help.

Most episode length productions are made with large full-time production teams and it takes them about three years to produce one episode. We're just a bunch of fans volunteering our free time on an ~45-minute special. This means we need the assistance of more like-minded creatives who wants to work on a tribute piece to one of, if not, the best shows from Disney.

The Wittebane Collab is creating a fan episode telling the untold story of the Wittebane brothers, Caleb and Philip, and Evelyn the witch. It's going to be a voiced, colored animatic with music and some animated sequences.

Hey everyone! Just a quick update from the Wittebane Collab today.

Since we last posted we've made insane progress on the project. We started this project just under two months ago and we're already in the process of finalizing the script and are currently story boarding one of our four acts.

Casting Call! The members of the Wittebane Collab are delighted to announce an open casting call for voice actors! Who are we? We are a team of over 50 artists, writers, voice actors, and musicians who are currently working to bring the Wittebane backstory to life in the form of a 20+ minute long video. We have the following open roles: - Caleb Wittebane - Kid ~10 - Caleb Wittebane - Teen ~15 - Caleb Wittebane - Adult While advertised as three characters we are open to casting the same voice actor for both Caleb's Teenage and Adult characters. -Three lower-pitched adult background characters (a scribe, a town governor, and a head witch hunter). If you are interested in trying out, you may fill out an application here. You are also welcome to join the hype team to follow along with the project at our Discord server here. As of May 15th, we are at least a month or two away from finalizing the cast. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch with us in the "ask us anything" channel on our server.

We are also searching for translators and closed caption writers to improve the project's accessibility. We currently have Danish, French, Galician, Romanian, and Spanish translators, and would love to add more languages. You can use the same application that we linked above to offer your translation and captioning services.
