You’re dark and exhausted
And you realise you’ll never grow
Cuz you’re an asphalt flower
Belonging on a meadow
Your roots are dry
There’s no one there to water you
And your petals are bleak
Cuz there no sun to strengthen you
And those around you don’t know how to care for you
They only want you when you’re healthy and pretty
And slowly watch you wither
Without caring about your needs
If you’d only be growing on a meadow
You wouldn’t need anybody else
Wouldn’t have to depend on others
The meadow would take care of you
If only you had been born on a meadow
