originally, i was going to have him be a humble man who didnt own much. thats what i do with a lot of my favorites in any other fandoms. i make them the perfect version of themselves. however, i realized that these types of qualities are what make characters so boring. without much of a personality. no flaws=no fun, right? the more i started to shape his perfect personality, the more i realized he was becoming a mary sue type of character. in the short stories ive written, hes only been that sort of character people may grow to hate.

the type with no flaws whatsoever, be it in their looks or in their personality. i used to have america be humble, kind, peaceful, and cutesy. im not saying that having these traits is bad nor boring, but they can be when applied to characters over and over again. in my case, every scenario i came up with ended up falling apart because of how boring america came to be.

-canada would secretly hide all of mexico's favorite hair ribbons and accessories with america

-america would scribble all over canada's hockey equipment (with erasable/washable marker) with mexico

-mexico would steal all the pins and patches off of america's jackets with canada

and so on and so forth. but sometimes the three would get together to cause general chaos to everyone else.

-maybe the three would keep emptying germany's coffee cup while he wasn't looking, effectively confusing him

-the three would follow south africa around the work place while chanting in random languages, annoying her yet also striking fear in her

-they would all climb up trees and chuck acorns at innocent countries passing by

-they would all take turns jumping from out of corners and scaring random countries

id also like to add that mostly all of the human versions of (countryhuman) america i myself have seen are always white or white-skinned. blue eyes and everything. i love you but please give us poc some rep I Am Asking, Begging, Pleading

this could go for literally any country
