106: transcharacter

DEFINITION ⦂⠀A transID label for individuals who identify as a character in a trans way.

Note that this was coined by an anti-radqueer, but the coiner does not necessarily believe that flags outside of blankqueer-esque ones hold much of a stance.

ADDITIONAL ⦂⠀Coined on the 18th of September, 2025. This is not a recoin, but a redesign of/inspired by idwl's transcharacter flag (Tumblr link). I wanted to make the star symbol more of a feature in the flag, put the border around as a gesture to the square symbol, while it also represents digital characters, and the fade is meant to portray the blur between character and the one identifying as them if that makes sense?

there's just an odd stigma in alterhuman spaces against fiction folk -- especially compared to canine & generally animalistic identities -- its been brewing for a while now and I think it's really gross.
