Plant Witchcraft: A Beginnerâs Guide to Growing đż
Easiest plants to grow in witchcraft (in order from easiest to hardest)!
Chives - can grow in limited light and space, very easily propagate (regrow)
Mint - very hardy, requires shade and some light, start from seeds
Cilantro - fast growing, can be planted indoors, does not transplant easily
Basil - can grow in small spaces, require sun, start from seeds
Parsley - easy to grow, low maintenance and limited lights, though hard to germinate
Oregano (wild marjoram) - very hardy, easy to grow in winter, requires full sun
Sage - large, hardy, start from cuttings, requires full sun
Thyme - requires full sun, hardy, easy to propagate from seeds or cuttings
Aloe Vera - easy to overwater, low maintenance, slow growing, little water, full sun
Chamomile - low maintenance, little water, full sun with some shade, easy to overwater
Dill - start as seeds, small, easy to grow indoors, hard to overwater, requires full sun
Rosemary - though very large, easy to grow indoors and easy to overwater
Bay laurel - requires well-draining soil, full sun, water often, grows large, slow growing
Lavender - hard to grow indoors, requires little water, best in dry conditions, start from seeds
Roses - requires full sun, seasonal, grows only outside, requires fertilizer, best grown from transplants
If a witch gives you a plant it means they don't hate you.
Unless they give you a bad plant.
Then they hate you.
Burn a grape vine to dispel rumors?
I've got a bunch of grapes growing in my back yard, and I've been dealing with a lot of negative rumors at my work. Has anyone tried this?
B honest tho
Herbs you can grow indoors.
Made this list for my fellow witchies who like their kitchen to be full of the green stuff :
Basil : like lots of sun and warmth. More difficult to grow in the winter months
Bay : needs plenty of sun and fresh air.
Chives : needs at least 6 hours of sun and plenty of water.
Dill : prefers slightly acidic soil, needs plenty of sunlight, doesnât need too much water.
Lemongrass : My personal favorite as you donât plant it in soil. Grow in a couple of inches of water. Easiest to grow.
Mint : needs plenty of water and needs to be placed in an area with indirect light. Harvest frequently.
Oregano : does not deal well with cold and drastic temperature changes could kill it.
Parsley : Doesnât require too much light or maintenance, but is a slow grower.
Rosemary : needs 6 - 8 hours of strong, direct sunlight. Only water when the top layer of soil feels dry. Needs good ventilation. A bit trickier to grow.
Sage : Needs plenty of sun.Â
Thyme : Needs 6 - 8 hours of sunlight a day and maybe even supplemental light.

Magick and Mediums Oracle
Tasseography
â˘Tea leaf readingâ˘
You might be wondering where this unusual form of divination came from, so hereâs a short history on tasseography. Shortly after tea was introduced to Europe, tea leaf reading, as itâs now recognized, was born. Similar divination tools had been used with an assortment of other materials. The art of tea leaf reading spread through Europe, and is now practiced throughout the world.
Doing a tea leaf reading involves you indulging in a delicious cup of tea and putting your sharp intuitive skills to work. After you enjoy your warm cup of loose leaf tea, youâll leave the loose tea leaves at the bottom, where some of these leaves will form symbols, each having their own meaning. Thatâs where your keen intuitive abilities come in! Anyone can see a triangle at the bottom of a teacup, but your job is to intuit what it means for you or the person youâre reading for.
WHAT YOU NEED FOR A TEA LEAF READING
Tea cup with a wide brim thatâs light enough to easily see your tea leaves.
Saucer
Loose leaf green or black tea, preferably organic.
Napkins
Pen and paper
Water
HOW TO PERFORM A TEA LEAF READING
1. BREW YOUR TEA
Gather all of your materials. Boil your water. Place about a teaspoon of loose tea in your cup. Pour your water in and steep tea to your preference.
For the next 3 steps, if youâre doing a reading for someone else, have them do the following steps.
2. SIP & SWIRL
Before you take your first sip, gently swirl tea counter clockwise three times. Sip and enjoy your tea, but donât drink it all! When thereâs about 1 tablespoon of tea left in your cup, swirl it again 3 times counter clockwise and think about or speak your query aloud.
3. CREATE YOUR TEA READING CANVAS
Turn your cup upside down onto your saucer to remove the remaining water, allow it a minute or so to drain, then turn it back up right.
4. LOOK FOR SYMBOLS
Look over your loose leaf tea pieces and see if any symbols or shapes jump out to you immediately. Donât fret if you donât see anything immediately, similar to scrying with a crystal ball, it can take some time for imagery to form for you. Try looking at the inside of the cup from different directions to see shapes. Keep in mind the images formed are formed from tea leaves, so you will really need to use your imagination.
5. RECORD & DECIPHER YOUR FINDINGS
If you do start to see some shapes, begin writing them down on your piece of paper so you can decipher them later, note where in the cup they are too. Now youâre ready to decipher your findings! Hereâs a guide for the most common symbols found during tea leaf readings:
6. UNDERSTAND THE TIMELINE
Where your tea leaves are situated in your cup relate to when they will happen. This is why some of the tea leaf reading cups you find have circles inside of them. Timing is broken into thirds as follows:
Bottom third: farthest away from happening, think 3-5 years out.
Top third: will be happening in the near future, think within the next few weeks.
Middle third: will happen in about a year from now.
7. FORM YOUR READING
Like most divination tools, a honed intuition is key for success, so be sure to lean on any gut instincts as you form the story for your reading. Once you understand the meaning behind the symbols itâs time to put all of the information into a story that makes sense for you or the person youâre doing a reading for.

Energy Work: Introduction to Fields Exercise
I want to start sharing more of my energy practice, here, and felt the best way to start doing that was to post an âintroductory primerâ. This meditation is designed to familiarize you with energy and its tactile properties. You can get some use out of this exercise regardless of your experience level (I still practice it, today), and itâs a great entry point for someone whoâs never even dabbled before. All youâll need to enjoy it is a comfortable, quiet place where youâre unlikely to be disturbed for roughly 30 minutes.
Tip: Donât try to follow along with this text as you perform the exercise. Instead, read it in its entirety before you begin. This way, you can avoid the distraction of scrolling or flipping pages during your meditation. That will kill your focus dead.
Step 1:
To begin, sit or stand in a comfortable position. Shake yourself out, paying particular attention to your shoulders and wrists. Do this until you feel loose and relaxed. Now, take a deep breath in, filling your lungs to the largest capacity possible. Hold the breath for a count to three, then exhale slowly, through your mouth. Concentrate on your breathing for as long as necessary to make it deep, slow and even. As you inhale, focus on the weight in the middle of your chest. Feel all the tension leave your body as you exhale. Draw your focus inwards, and feel your pulse as it travels through your body. Be still, quiet, and whole. Remain here until you are grounded and focused.
Step 2:
When you feel relaxed and grounded, raise your arms so that your elbows are up and away from your body. With your hands open, turn them so that your palms are facing each other in front of you. The palms of your hands should be roughly one foot apart, and one foot away from the core of your body.Feel your focus slowly travel from your chest, to your shoulders, and down through your arms. Sweep it down past your elbows and wrists until you are focusing on the palms of your hands. You may notice a tingling sensation, or a hyper awareness, in your fingers. Push this feeling out until you are focused on the space between your palms. The keyword is âpushâ. Feel a pressure building up between your hands; focus until that pressure is a dense weight.
Step 3:
With your attention still on the space between your palms, physically push them together. You should feel a slight resistance, or âbounceâ. Bring your hands together and back apart rhythmically, getting a feel for that resistance. Play with the energy you have gathered there, growing it, condensing it, passing it back and forth between your hands. Get a feel for its properties. This is âyouâ energy. Get to know it. Take as long as you need.
Step 4:
When you are finished, draw your hands back towards the trunk of your body. Press the tension you have built up against your chest and âbreatheâ it back in until nothing is left externally.
Repeat the earlier breathing exercise â inhale deeply, hold for three seconds, and slowly exhale through your mouth. Focus on your breathing until it is deep and regular. Bring your focus from your hands, back to your chest. Feel the weight there.
Slowly, begin rolling your shoulders. Roll your head on your neck, and shake out your arms, dispersing any tension. Shake your wrists and hands until they are loose and free. Feel yourself slowly wake from the deep relaxation you enjoyed earlier.
When youâre finished, engage in some mundane grounding activity, such as washing up, eating, or drinking. You might enjoy journaling your experiences so that you can reference them later on.
Excellent energy work basics. :)

Me:Â â...Kinda?â

These succulents (minus the panda) have been growing outside of my family's property for as long as I can remember. Today I decided to bring some inside and I couldn't be happier with the results. đđ¤
