🍒v happy to announce I'm in the process rebranding my label and site rn!!! I felt like I was truly tested this past six months. So much emotional and energetic movement it shook my being. I ended an abusive relationship. Moved across the country. Dealt with the sudden death of a close love one. I put being insanely productive with my art on hold. I had to be still, and truly try to feel and heal myself. During that I felt so bad I wasn't being as productive and that I had regressed in my artistry. But eventually in this stillness I've found much clarity in not only my esthetic and what I want to create going forward, but in the kind of person I want to grow to be. I'm launching a brand new line sometime this summer. But I also want to continue to talk about real shit with people. Life moves so fast and sometimes we feel like there isn't time for those big real scary pounding towering feelings. But then what are we really making time for? A shallow conversation on how hard we have been working on our mask? My father departed this world a little over a month ago today. It wasn’t until his death did I fully realize the impact he had on my life. I never took the time to think just how deeply his radical views and wild personality gave me what I needed to be the person I’ve become. My dad was a free spirit and on that DIY shit way before any hipster was. He taught us to value what a man could make create with his mind and hands, not buy with his wallet, to value the amount of beauty a man could see and experience in a lifetime not the amount he could posses or take ownership of, to value personal progress over others perception of you. We grew up liberated from the chained thinking that money or success reflected worth in a person. He instilled a childlike vibrance in how I view the possibilities of my daily life. It’s is this enlightened view which has allowed me to pursue the unapologetic life of an artist. So for that, Dad, I thank you. I would have never had the courage to be me without your wisdom. I wish I had the chance to tell him this. With the constant hustle of our culture it doesn’t naturally allow much time for heart to hearts or real talk, but trust me life is too short to put it off. After loosing someone so close so suddenly, it sinks in. Everyday we spend with a love one or simply free to breath underneath a bright sky is blessing not every one has. We spend so much of our lives trifling over what our future will be, when the future is no guarantee. We shame or worry ourselves over a past; we can do nothing to change it. And the present, we glaze over it, float through it, and usually fail to give it full appreciation until it’s gone. I’m going to drink it up and appreciate it to the fullest from now on. Safe inter-dimensional journeys Dad. May our sprits grow, heal, and reunite in another layer of existence in a light year yet to come. Love you.

Learning to sit peacefully with open space and time is something I've always been challenged by. I feel like I've been overcommitted and running on empty since I could remember and for the first time in my life I've made space to do nothing and honestly it's made me a bit stir crazy. I feel like I'm finally getting the chance to look deep within myself and ask those hard questions of why I do things the way I do. As a culture we don't honor the importance of stillness, taking time to have absolutely no objectives and be at peace with ourselves in our natural state for a point in time. If we aren't carful we will spend our whole lives running from task to task and never ending up where we really want to be. I feel so blessed to be experiencing this stillness now, redirecting to my true path, and sharing it with you all. I am shedding old skins of impulse and self doubt and feeling big changes in my work and person coming in in the future. When you feel like it's gonna rain but the sun ends up shining. As tiny little creatures whirling around in space there will always be the looming element of being completely out of control. I'm still constantly learning to be at peace with this. I pushed out my garage sale until next week because it was sprinkling this morning and then it ended up being a beautiful day. Anyway I hope you all can come by next week! As you may have picked up I'm up and leaving Austin w this sweet babe @try_it_yourself and headed to the big apple. This is bitter sweet as Austin is the only home I've ever known and holds s scared place in my heart. But as the compulsion to progress my art wells inside of me U know it's time for a change of scene. I'll still be in Austin for the next two and a half months chilling in my tub and free lancing on creative projects.
