This blog is home to the quiet, poetic life of Lyssaria la Vienrosa, a soft-hearted, sharp-witted, mischievous noblewoman who lives in a wisteria-draped manor on the edge of the Rhodolite woods.

Here, you’ll find two kinds of stories:

Written in-character—as though pulled from the pages of her private journal—and include seasonal reflections, small daily rituals, longings she won’t say aloud, and a few mysteries that may unfold over time.

🖋️Ficlets & Vignettes

Short prose stories that explore specific events in her past or present.

This story draws from Rhodolite lore, canon events like the Bloodstained Rose Day War, and character arcs from Ikemen Prince, but it’s told through an original lens, and at a much slower, more introspective pace.

The 13th Day of Blossomwake, in the Season of Lilacs

🌕 Moon Phase: First Quarter — bright and unblinking, like it’s waiting for me to say something.

🌧️ Soul Weather: Fluttering, like wind caught in lace. A sense of almost.

🌿 One Beautiful Thing I Witnessed: A spider spun a thread from my balcony rail to a blooming lilac. It shimmered like spun glass. I was afraid to breathe.

I woke before the light again—not out of need, just a pull. The kind of tug that feels like someone calling your name, though no one does. I watched the first golden threads stretch across the sky, then wandered into the garden barefoot, letting the chill cling to my ankles. The dew was thick enough to leave prints. I tried to step only where violets had already fallen. 

Grandmother used to tell me the earth remembers softness. That it welcomes gentle footsteps more than heavy ones. I think of her when the mornings are quiet like this—when the sky turns lavender and the world hasn’t begun pretending yet.

I boiled lavender milk and drank it slowly. The milk boy had brought it warm again. One of the bottles had a tiny flower pressed under the twine—I think by accident. I saved it anyway. 

I collect things like this. Little fragments of the world—feathers, pressed petals, curled ribbons, bits of meaning most people would overlook.

There was a time I shared that habit with someone. He stopped seeing the magic in it long before he left. And then he was gone before I could ask if he ever truly did.

The melody returned today—but not to my fingers. It was in the wind, in the way the wisteria vines tapped the window panes. I didn’t play it. I just listened. 

Sometimes, the longing comes not for a person, but for a moment that hasn’t arrived. A conversation that feels inevitable. A hand I haven’t touched, but already remember. I carry a kind of homesickness for futures I’ve only glimpsed in dreams—no faces, no names, just the unmistakable ache of something almost. And isn’t that the strangest kind of grief? Missing things before they’ve begun. 

I think I’m growing restless in a quiet way. Not unhappy—just…open. Like the air around me is waiting to be filled with something new. Maybe that’s what longing is. 

Not emptiness. Just spaciousness. A readiness for beauty not yet born. The moon is rising earlier now. It slipped across the floor tonight like a silk hem trailing behind someone I haven’t met. I sat by the window and let it keep me company. The house was very still. 

Tomorrow, I may begin a new melody. 

Or perhaps I’ll just hum what already lives in the walls.

I miss the echo of a voice I haven’t heard— the weight of a gaze I have not met. There are silences that feel like waiting for something I already love.

The 9th Day of Blossomwake, in the Season of Lilacs

🌕 Moon Phase: Waxing crescent — shy and silver, peeking behind a veil of early clouds.

🌧️ Soul Weather:Hushed brightness, like laughter remembered hours later. A soft ache in the chest that doesn’t feel quite like sadness.

🌿 One Beautiful Thing I Witnessed: A lilac blossom fell directly into my teacup this morning—quietly, as if it had been waiting for just the right moment.

I opened the windows just before sunrise today. Just in time for the pink light to enter slowly, magically, like a spell cast by sky god. The air still carried threads of night—cool, a little damp, filled with that not-quite-silence that happens when birds begin their first, sleepy songs.

The lilacs have gone from suggestion to declaration. They lean against the stone path like they're drunk on their own bloom. The garden smells of them entirely—rich and sweet, like the warm sigh of spring. I buried my face in one cluster and came away with petals on my lashes. It felt like being kissed by the season itself.

My grandmother used to say spring was shameless—that it dressed the world in perfume and bloom just to seduce us into hope again. I think of her more often this time of year. Like me, she always did favor the lilacs best. (Blasphemous for a Rholoditian, I know. But that’s Grandmother and I for you.)

The milk boy came late this morning. I heard him before I saw him—the faint clink of bottles and a stifled curse as he tripped over the crooked stone by the gate (I really should fix that—but it’s rather endearing how it startles every would-be suitor). 

He dropped off two bottles today—one tied with a sprig of thyme. He didn’t say anything, just turned bright red and nearly tripped over the loose stone again on his way out.

I suspect it’s because I thanked him in a poem last week.

Played a few notes on the piano after he left. Just the melody that’s been circling me for days—unfinished, almost shy. It reminds me of someone I haven’t met yet.

The light lingered longer than it should have tonight. Everything feels stretched thin—time, air, me.

Not unpleasant. Just...suspended.

There are nights where I imagine someone will arrive.  Not anyone in particular—just…someone who would understand why my windows are open, and why I keep glancing up from my book like I’m listening for footsteps on gravel.

Not because I need someone. But because they’ll see the light in my window and know it was meant for them.

I suppose that's the kind of thought that only makes sense in the Season of Lilacs.
