a plot based off of naomily from skins uk. so picture this: MUSE A (emily) has been in love with MUSE B for years (and the same back story can exist where MUSE A kissed MUSE B and told her twin/sister/friend a lie that MUSE B kissed her) and MUSE B seemingly has no interest/holds a grudge. so anyways, the two, because they’re constantly pushed together in social situations become friends and then after a camping trip MUSE A and B do it and MUSE B leaves, and the two become fwb. obviously naomily had more than this, but as a basis: two girls, neither open or sure of their sexuality and MUSE A probably has a homophobic twin as bonus pts for drama and just fwb, maybe even throw in the cheating angst. either way, gimme.

a plot based off of hayley kiyoko’s girls like girls. MUSE A and MUSE B are best friends, MUSE B has a crap boyfriend who is abuse and seems to hate MUSE B’s friendship with MUSE A. ensue MUSE A, who is in fact in love with her best friend, MUSE B, pining over this and hating MUSE B’s boyfriend regardless because of how awful he treats her.

so the classic coffee shop au. just imagine MUSE A, a barista,  and MUSE B, a regular and MUSE A plucking up the courage to write on a napkin asking MUSE B out and nothing happens for a few hours until MUSE B goes to leave, hands MUSE A the napkin with a cheeky message and their number.

beach town au: MUSE A has had a messy breakup with a longtime significant other and decides to flee for the summer and rent a home by the ocean, while MUSE B, just wants to take the summer to relax. a realtor fucks up and bam! MUSE A and MUSE B are forced to share the one bedroom summer home for the next three months.

MUSE A’s a girl MUSE B is just a girl. can i make it anymore obvious? MUSE A’s just a punk, MUSE B does ballet, what more can i say? MUSE A wants MUSE B, MUSE B’d never tell, but secretly she wants her as well, but all of MUSE B’s friends stuck up their nose.

based off the manga girl friends by morinaga miruku, it’s kind of a high school based manga but could easily be college if you wanted to but basically MUSE A is a quiet girl with no real friends, MUSE B is a popular girl who corners MUSE A and gives her a makeover and has had a crush on MUSE A for a while. basically it’s cute girlfriend fluff.

apartment au based off of new girl where MUSE A has just broken up with longtime significant other and is now living with MUSE B and a bunch of rowdy idiots.

the good ol’ ‘teleportation device makes a copy’ plot. season with ‘…and something’s off with the new one’ or ‘…and this one is from another dimension’ to your preference

one is an android. the other is the person the android is modelled after. whether or not the not-android one knew or gave their permission to have their face used like this is entirely on your hands

plastic surgery can do anything now. i needed to change my entire face to escape from [insert enemy here], and now i look exactly like you.

option a: the second muse is a model/celebrity/another public figure, and the first one showed their picture on a magazine and went ‘that one’ to their surgeon

option b: both muses have changed their face, and chose the same pre-sets

the altered carbon inspired ‘anyone’s consciousness can be moved to a new body to preserve their life and ours were moved to clones of one another’

one muse imitates the appearance of others for camouflage  ( are they a spy with mask technology? are they an alien who shapeshifts? who knows? not me ). they do it when meeting / walking past the other muse, and they get stuck on that face.

one person is a dangerous fighter, at least on someone’s eyes. the other is an android with an ai. the ai was built to imitate the real person and learn from them so the enemy could train against the ai to prepare for the real thing.

or, ai was built to kill the original.

original person and their back-up copy to be used in case they die / as a decoy, planted to either a new body or a clone / android copy of the original.

someone tried to clone muse a to replicate their powers, the resulting muse b turned out… off.  ( for same fc but different muse. whether the powers even transferred entirely up to you. )

egoistical leader makes a copy of themselves because two of them is better at management than one.

SUCKER ; “I can’t remember all of the nights I don’t remember when you’re ‘round me”

muse a and muse b have a flame of a romance. every weekend they’re running out to bars and parties, attached at the hip, drawn to each other by some unknown force. its euphoric, their love…except muse a is slowly running out of cash, calling in sick from all the nights out and blowing off friends and family, and muse b is also seeing other people…it can’t end well, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t. 

ONLY HUMAN ; “It’s only human, you know that it’s real”

muse c and muse d meet at a work event and hit it off instantly. they go home together and spend an amazing night talking, dancing, drinking, and then pass out on the floor beside each other. in the morning, muse d is gone without a trace. except, shit, they work for the rival company of muse c, and they’re now battling it out on the same project. fraternizing with the enemy is a big no-no, but….they can’t help meeting each other’s eyes across the room, remembering deep conversations and silly dance moves…

USED TO BE ; “Lately I don’t even know ya, too many devils on your shoulder”

muse e and muse f dated for a few years until muse f began to change : they began to make new friends, go out more, get into drugs, until muse e hardly recognized them. they broke up, but now muse e can’t stop worrying, even though muse f’s already seeing someone else…muse b, the source of their bad behaviour. 

LOVE HER ; “But I keep on comin’ back like a magnet”

muse g and muse h have been off and on for who knows how long — their friends are tired of hearing about it, how in love they are one minute and how fed up they are the next. because when they’re good, they’re SO good, but one little thing and they can’t stop fighting. muse g is growing tired, beginning to seek out other options and try to move on, but muse h is so tied up in their relationship they can’t imagine their life without muse g. but are they willing to settle a little and compromise? 

STRANGERS ; “Must be from a different life, been here before and it just feels right”

love at first sight is a myth, right? not for muse i and muse j. the moment their eyes meet across the party, the first words they exchange, they’re both enamored, head over heels. it just feels right, in a way neither of them can explain. there’s only one problem…muse i is already in a relationship with muse k, and muse j is about to start a job on the other side of the country. 

HESITATE ; “You saved me once and now I’ll save you too”

muse k and muse l are siblings. a few years apart, their relationship has always been a bit rocky. when they were young, their mother passed away. muse k was determined to be well-behaved and straight-edged, while muse l took a more rebellious path, driving a wedge between them. still, they both always knew they were there for each other, despite how much they bickered. now, their mother has passed away as well, leaving them both floundering. muse l has taken the news especially hard, and showed up at muse k’s door teary-eyed and drunk. now, muse k is trying to figure out how to reconnect with their sibling and help them while also dealing with their own grief.

ROLLERCOASTER ; “It was fun when we were young and now we’re older”

muse a, muse d, muse h, muse i, and muse l were best friends in high school. they were always going on adventures, hanging out in each other’s basements. they were there for each other through all the highs and the lows, supporting each other’s successes and lifting each other up when things were bad. now, a few years since gradution, they’re all meeting up for drinks and to catch up. so much has changed, but they’re still bonded by the shit they went through together. 

COMEBACK ; “Come back to me, baby, I’ll come back to you”

—muse a is a fallen angel exiled from heaven for falling in love with their human. they wake up outside a club with their memory wiped and the wings ripped from their back. the club run is by muse b, and is actually a sanctuary for other supernatural creatures in need. muse a stays to heal, and gets wrapped in muse b’s world—both of them having to deal with the things they’re running away from.

—muse a is a demon summoned to earth by muse b, a human in desperate need of protection/companionship. perhaps they’re sick or dying and need to make a bargain for their life — either way muse a endears themselves to muse b, who has to deal with the fact that their relationship is a contract and nothing more.

—muse a and muse b, an angel and demon respectively, are high ranking officers in heaven and hell. but they fuck around a lot because damn, that forbidden love shit is hot. either it’s a secret or everyone knows it and just rolls their eyes at their ridiculousness.
