I don’t usually give a plug for a product unless I have used it myself. I was looking for some additional cables for my iPhone and iPad and through an Amazon search I found OnyxVolt cables. They were very well priced ($5.50 for a PAIR of 3 foot cables), however, the difference between these cables and cheap Apple knock-offs is these are Apple mfi certified. It means you won’t get the pop-up message “this accessory may not be compatible with this device.” Non-mfi cables also have the potential to damage your device. I was very impressed because they have a lifetime guarantee for all their products. From the personalized email confirmation, the packaging and the quality of the product I was very impressed. My iPhone 6 Plus has been synced to my Mac and is being charged with the OnyxVolt cable as I type this post. If you need extra cables, check them out.

Instead of paying $150/month of a Time Warner bundle (what I was paying before I cut the cord), I pay for Internet access, stream Hulu and Netflix and get my phone service (I use Magic Jack) for about $58 /month. I don't regret cutting the cord and I don't miss cable as much as I thought I would.

I thought my iPhone 6+ was a big phone! Now that I've used my "Phablet" for almost 2 months, I'm glad I bought the iPhone 6+ vs. the iPhone 6. What I've learned over the last 2 months is that I REALLY ENJOY my large smartphone. Yes, it can be inconvenient at times, however, as most people have mentioned, who have a large smartphones, is you make adjustments in your life to accommodate. For me those adjustments have been well worth it. Because of my iPhone 6+ I can appreciate this phone put out by Google. In fact I wish I had no budget or was a big time blogger so I could have one of my own to use (I envy all those tech bloggers who get all the latest gadgets and smartphones to use and review for free) as it seems, simply put… AWESOME. Anyway, at some point I hope to make it to a store and check it out for myself. If you happen to get one in the future please let us know how you like it and what you think about it.

I tried several VPN services in the past, however, I found that some didn't connect to public WiFi or some connected but certain apps didn't work. After searching through several companies, I found SurfEasy. The monthly unlimited option ($5) didn't break the bank (cheaper for yearly subscription), it works on my Mac, iPad and iPhone and has worked and connected with all my apps. They also have a free option if you'd like to try it out.

I sit at Starbucks as I post this and I'm sure most people are not using some type of VPN service. I'm sure it's like taking candy from a baby if you're not protected.
