She was determined to be the best parent she could to make up for lost time. She had brought baked goods and was participating in conversations and questions. She was being a mom.

When the other woman approached her, Fuyuko was prepared for friendly conversation. She was not prepared for the familiarity.

She took a cookie, mostly seeming to do it so as not to get any dirty looks from anyone who might wonder why she was hanging around the table.

“Fuyuko is very pretty name! It suits you well I think.” she nodded a bit “Ah! you are Shouto’s mother?” she pointed towards Fuyuko’s son, who was of course with the other students milling about “He shows up to all these but I’ve never seen a parent attached but once or twice. Your husband is the big man yes?” she held up her hand to indicate Enji’s height “The fireplace?” she couldn’t remember the word for just ;fire’ so she called him the closest thing she could think of.

“Your son will be a fantastic manager if he’s gotten into UA. I look forward to seeing which heroes he starts managing in his future.” She took a bite of her cupcake, then licked frosting off her finger delicately.
