This is a tough question! I love both these guys, and here are a few ideas of some majors for each of them:

Bob Morley–– Magical History, Herbology, Astronomy, or Obliviation.

John Boyega–– Alchemy, Muggle Relations, Wizard Literature, or Curse-breaking.

The characters can be anything 18 or older! You could consider it the equivalent of college/university, with students having already finished their standard magical training at any of the traditional magic schools. So while I would expect most students would be around the range of 18-25, they can really be any age as long as it’s older than 18.

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone!

It’s been almost a week since I opened the main and I’m still very excited about the prospect of opening this RP. Seeing as there is already one app, I have a vague idea of how to proceed.

Considering the new year is coming very quickly, I am hoping to accept in early January. This might seem like a while away, but it’s actually only 11 days until the end of 2017! I’m optimistic that we can get at least 10 apps by then. 

With that in mind, I’ll be around to answer questions and looking forward to reading more apps. Thanks for reading and I hope to hear from potential applicants soon!

Since I’ve completed my school work for the semester, I’ll be around on the main pretty much all the time, even if I’m not posting. Feel free to send in questions if you have any! I still feel as though there may be things I’ve forgotten to put anywhere on the main––info about the school, or otherwise––so if there’s any confusion about anything let me know.

Not strictly speaking, no. Other than the fact that FCs should be 18+, there aren’t any specifically banned fcs. But that being said, if someone applies with an fc that has done anything grossly problematic (eg. Melanie Martinez or Johnny Depp––and I won’t list why I’ve used them as examples as it should be fairly obvious) then those fcs won’t be accepted. However I will communicate with the applicant if this is the case and try to arrange a different fc so the character can still be accepted!

That’s a really good question! I looked up the definitions for both and they do have some differences. Potions largely focuses on replicating the effects of spells by combining a number of organic ingredients. It has a much wider range of effects than Alchemy and can range from small effects to significant ones. 

Alchemy is far more advanced than Potions and is generally about reaching “perfection” of life (eg. extending life with the Philosopher’s Stone), or things such as transmuting chemicals/metals (eg. turning lead into gold). Compared to Potions, I would say it focuses more on inorganic materials? Anything produced through Alchemy would be profound compared to Potions, I think.
