Literally, just leave me the fuck alone. I hate my life, and thereâs nothing you can do about it. Okay?
Well, you havenât let me try to make you not hate it. Why donât we go to the beach and talk?Â
wrenrothâ:
Well, that must mean we have a lot to see.Â
Hey, uh, wait a second, Win⌠Can I kiss you?
-
Oh, Wren. Iâve been waiting forever for you to ask me that. Yes, of course.

Umm⌠Just uh, yâknow, Soren and baby Moon and just⌠You know, forget whatâs going on with me. You are here and thatâs all that matters anymore.
You can keep talking about it, if you want to. I like listening to you and I like knowing whatâs going on in your life. You wanna go on a walk? Put your feet in the sand?
-
You know Uncle Wren has an adorable ring to it! Moonâs really cute. I definitely see Colbie in him way more than Soren, but maybe something subtle of Sorenâs like his nose or eyebrows or something.Â
Yeah, yeah the beach sounds phenomenal actually. I miss hearing the waves whenever I want, so I wanna soak in as much as I can get before I have to go back.Â
taylorsharmonâ:
Itâs just all scut work.Â
Wanna get outta here? Go do something fun?
-
Of course! Are we talking with or without children kind-of-fun?Â
wrenrothâ:
No. No, of course not.Â
Iâm so happy youâre here.
-
Mm, me too.Â
I just had to get out of the city for a little while. Fashion Week is soon and Iâm going to be so busy that I just wanted to decompress from school first before all the absolute chaos of it. My moms brand is doing this whole performance art thingy with splatter paint and human statues and Mick asked if I could help but I donâtâyou know what? I came here to relax. Agh, take a breath, Win. Whatâs been going on with you?
wrenrothâ:
Winnie! My girl!Â
Iâve missed you!
I missed you! You been getting into trouble without me around?Â

My rounds this week are in the ER. I have been puked on, pooped on, peed on, bled on, sneezed and coughed and gagged onâŚ. And I feel disgusting. Whatâs up with you?
Um, nothing in comparison to all âa that.Â
taylorsharmonâ:
God⌠I need a drink.Â
I need several, and a massage, and also just like a punch in the face I think. Just for good measures. But actually, donât punch me. Whatâs up with you?
wrenrothâ:
âUh, yes? You called my name?
Nope. Wasnât me. Mustâve been the wind.Â
@winniexwils: hi mommy â¤ď¸

HeyâWinn⌠Before you find out on social media, I wanted to be the one to tell you.Â
I finally proposed to Rae. And before you start running that smart ass mouth of yours, she did say yes.Â
Winnie had grown a little since Atticus had seen her last and she no longer had to stand on her tippy-toes to wrap her arms around his neck. âOh, Atti,â She squeezed him closely, âIâm so happy for you guys. If Rae needs help with anything - anything - let me know. I mean, a wedding dress! I can totally help with a wedding dress!âÂ

Wren never believed in luck but he also didnât believe in fate. He didnât believe in coincidences but he also didnât believe there was a reason for everything. He looked at his existence as a statistic. He wasnât mathematical by any means, he just didnât have a clear picture on why or how the world worked the way it did. It wasnât that he was against believing in fate or destiny or luck, it was just that there was no proof in any of it. Life was a big mystery to him, but he also didnât feel the need to get to the bottom of things. If he was meant to be with Winnie on that night, cool. If he chose to be with Winnie on that night, cool. It made life feel like he was just floating through space, and it was probably one of those things that sent him to an inpatient recovery center. Through all of lifeâs speculations, he did think he got pretty lucky that night. Wren cleared his throat, smirked through a small giggle, and glanced over at Winnie. In his bed Old Hollywood accent, he said, âTo the stars, Winnie, my dear. Weâre going all the way up to the stars.â It wasnât a lie either. Within a few minutes, Wren was pulling into an empty parking lot. The sign read that they were only open from dawn âtil dusk, but Wren liked breaking the rules a bit. He opened his door, then Winnieâs, and then the trunk. And from the trunk, he pulled a telescope. âWeâre gonna need to hike a bit, but I promise itâll be worth it,â he said. He held her hand the entire way up to the top of the cliff, not too far from Whoopâs Ledges, actually. It seemed to be safer and a hot spot for people to come through. There were picnic tables and trash cans near by. Wren set up the telescope and looked through, finding all of the constellations and space-things he could. âCome look,â he said, reaching out his hand to Winnie. âI found Saturn.â
Wrenâs Old Hollywood accent was surprisingly good. Winnie smiled. She didnât have much to say, but she wanted to keep talking so he would too. Wren was like one of those Russian dolls that had ten little versions of themselves inside themselves: as soon as you opened up one doll, there would still be a smaller, more intricate one underneath. She knew he was witty and charming and equally broken and probably sad, but that was okay. It was intriguing. And as Wren pulled up to an empty parking lot, Winnie turned and raised her eyebrows at him, only a little concerned until she saw the telescope too. Wren said they would have to hike a bit, and though Winnie did adore the new, black boots on her feet, she grinned and agreed, âYou did say we were going to the stars. I imagined weâd have to hike a little bit.â He held out his hand for her, and she took it, excitedly inhaling and exhaling as they made their way up and into the darkness. For a few moments the only noise between them were the crackling of the branches and leaves underneath their feet, and Wren guiding Winnie here and there. Sheâd stumble, heâd chuckle, and then theyâd let the quiet fall over them again. Finally, they reached the top and as Wren did whatever he had to do to set up the telescope, Winnie shot a quick text to Atti asking him if she could stop over later - giddy to already tell him and Rae about her night. That was one of the best things about Atti and Raeâs new house: it didnât matter the time of the night, their doors were always, and I mean always open for any of their foster family. âMm,â Winnie snapped back into reality, grabbing Wrenâs hand once more and taking a look into the telescope. It wasnât too big or shiny, but there was Saturn in all its glory. Winnie could even see the faint glow of its rings around it. âWow,â She breathed, taking one more look in silence before stepping back, âSometimes I canât believe itâs all out there. I mean, other planets...galaxies...whatever the Hell. The fact that weâre all living on a big floating rock. It makes everything seem so...small.âÂ
wrenrothâ:
âHey,â Wren grinned out of the side of his mouth. âYou didnât even let me walk up to the door and awkwardly stand outside until you came down.â Wren was hoping that this⌠whatever this was⌠was going to work out. Because he could see this being a long-term thing. The second Winnie got into the car, Wren wanted to reach over to kiss her. He wasnât going to push it. Not at the beginning of their first date. When he âdropped her offâ at the end, maybe heâd go for it, but not right then. âYou cheated,â Wren playfully added. He was in a pair of straight-legged pants, brown that he had purchased from a thrift store. He had a loose white button-up on, tucked in and a black belt with a pair fo black boots on. He ran a hand through his hair and looked over at Winnie and gave another lopsided grin. âIâm happy you wanted to go out,â Wren said, glancing over at her as he turned out of the neighborhood. âIâm lucky.â
âIâve never done this before, remember? I donât know the rulessss.â Winnie teased. Inside she caught a glimpse of Rebel and Lily staring at them through the window, and she was tempted to wave back just to scare them off, but she didnât. She remembered all of the stories Kylieâd tell about watching the older kids, and it was strange and nostalgic to realize Winnie was on the teenager side of it now. As Wren started up his car and turned out of the neighborhood, he called himself lucky and Winnie got butterflies. âOh no, I think Iâm the lucky one,â She breathed, clearing her throat as she adjusted her outfit and avoided Wrenâs eyes. They were so woefully beautiful, you could get lost in them. She did the first time they met, actually, and sheâd been thinking about them everyday since. Wren was peculiar but in the most romantic kind of way. He wasnât your average run-of-the-mill Brooksville boy. He didnât try to be someone he wasnât. Hell, at the very least, he wasnât Joey Maples and that was a good thing for Winnie. A few days prior, Winnie had kissed Joey in a last ditch effort to bring him some comfort, and she regretted it deeply. She was hoping her playful date with Wren could help occupy her mind. âSo, are you going to tell me where weâre going on this special night?â Winnie played, reaching over and touching Wrenâs arm, acting like an old Hollywood actress, âBesides to the stars, of course.â
