postgresql – Converting Between Timezones in Postgres

Since we are giving it a timestamptz as input, itll output a timestamp. In other words, it is converting the absolute point in time 2016-01-01 00:00Z to a wall time in US/Pacific, i.e. what the clock in Los Angeles showed at that absolute point in time.

In example 2 we are doing the opposite, namely taking a timestamp and converting it to a timestamptz. In other words, we are asking: what was the absolute point in time when the clock in Los Angeles showed 2016-01-01 00:00?

Java or C#, think of str as String and bytes as byte[];

SQL, think of str as NVARCHAR and bytes as BINARY or BLOB;

Windows registry, think of str as REG_SZ and bytes as REG_BINARY.

If youre familiar with C(++), then forget everything youve learned about char and strings, because a character is not a byte. That idea is long obsolete.

You use str when you want to represent text.

Git skip post-commit hook

so this flag does not skip the post-commit hook. There doesnt seem to be a simple, clean way to skip this flag. For a one-shot operation; you could just disable the hook and enable it again after your commit:

After making changes to the pg_hba.conf or postgresql.conf files, the cluster needs to be reloaded to pick up the changes.

From the command line: pg_ctl reload

From within a db (as superuser): select pg_reload_conf();

From PGAdmin: right-click db name, select Reload Configuration

Note: the reload is not sufficient for changes like enabling archiving, changing shared_buffers, etc — those require a cluster restart.

I just put --password flag into my command and after hitting Enter it asked me for password, which I supplied.

version control – Move git repository to another github user

Just transfer ownership of the repo to another user and have them add you as a collaborator.

If someone forks your repo, then you delete the original, their fork is still there, unless its a private repository. they can then add you as a collaborator on their fork repo.

Another user can simply clone your repo (commits intact), create a new repo on GitHub, add the new repos remote info, and push your repo up to their new one. (Then, they can add you as a collaborator.)

SPF is always considered of From Domain. Header From and From Domain are 2 different things. Header From is the part after @ in email address. In your case its ofpad.com. But what happens is that it checks SPF from From Domain. In this case it is us-west-2 And In DMARC it also checks the mail is being sent should have same domains in Header From and From Domain. Which is different in this case. That is the main reason of its being failed. It is known as SPF Alignment in DMARC.

python 3.x – How do I remove/delete a virtualenv?

Thats it! There is no command for deleting your virtual environment. Simply deactivate it and rid your application of its artifacts by recursively removing it.

Note that this is the same regardless of what kind of virtual environment you are using. virtualenv, venv, Anaconda environment, pyenv, pipenv are all based the same principle here.

Just to echo what @skytreader had previously commented, rmvirtualenv is a command provided by virtualenvwrapper, not virtualenv. Maybe you didnt have virtualenvwrapper installed?

Try to use org.hibernate.dialect.Oracle10gDialect, seems to be the highest possible version in Hibernate 4.3.9.

A dialect for 12c seems to be present in later versions, see

There is no built-in control that has a textbox with a [Browse] button beside it. You gotta set that up yourself.

For a more feature complete answer, assume you have a Button BtnFileOpen and a textbox TxtFile. First you need to reference the System.Windows.Forms assembly from the references dialog (make sure you check mark it, double clicking it didnt seem to add it for me).

virtualbox – while creating VM in Oracle virtual Box error the hardware virtualization is enabled in the acceleration section occurring

Error you are getting in Oracle VB is actually telling you that the machine needs that feature to be turned on…. Since its off, in response to enabled acceleration in settings… it is detecting that the the Parent/Host os is missing the acceleration hardware feature.

Turn it on then try again.

What worked for me is enabling Virtualization Technology in BIOS setup. I understand not all computers have this option in bios but toggling it on may resolve the issue.

Another solution that appears to work for others (windows users) is toggling the settings on Hyper-V in windows features (Turn Windows Features on/off).

This is one error that can be challenging to solve. Wishing you all the best, and dont give up on what you are up to.
