It's a day when you're sad and the people who used to make it better decided not to anymore.

Hey, you. Yeah, you. Good job treating me like dick. You win.

Mark today as the first time you chose someone else over your son and made him cry. No more telling me you'll always be there for him because four days after court you made the wrong choice. And it will be this way four the rest of my child's life.

I have begun to erase you, saving a few tiny morsels to give you when I question, "why?"

I'm amazing, even if you didn't see it. And you're a coward, a coward who only half-asses things. A weak.coward who once told me a story about being so depressed he almost ended his life.. but he was too lazy to put the bullets in and pull the trigger and went to sleep instead. I thought of that story today. You did not deserve me. I'm not meant to be in a half-assed relationship.

You want the parts of me that are amazing...but only if I change the parts that don't fit into your view of amazing. And I won't anymore. I often place you before and above myself and I know better. I'm amazing for many reasons. And I will continue being so whether you like those parts or not.
