End of the first update!! hope you enjoy it so far! as i've mentioned before for the time being, pareidolia will update every friday.

as you can see tbh this is less of a traditional webcomic format and more of a graphic novel situation. the prose is written the way it is kind of intentionally, you'll see how things proceed, hehe.

In an 1800s Sweden where creatures from folktales are anything but myth, a draconic beast is held captive by a group of human "vaette hunters". Having resided there for most of its life, a tenuous resignation to its fate rests within it until a routine is performed differently than usual, and a desperate act of self preservation ends up putting it in the very literal shoes of its own captors.

here's the cover (again, sorry!) bcs today is the first pareidolia update day :D each update will be a bit of a page drop, ive sort of divided up the existing chapters into parts i think fit together best. feel free to check it out on comicfury as well if you prefer reading it there!

Runs here. Hi guys..... (looks around) So while I still have to do my exam presentation and stuff... with things finishing up I figured I may announce this;

ill start posting pareidolia pages starting on june 5th, with updates following that on fridays! updates will range a bit in size and may become a bit downsized once my backlog of 3 chapters runs out (we'll see)

I'll be uploading them on comicfury ( see here ) but i'll post the pages here as well.

... but also if you want to read all 3 chapters in advance and you somehow find yourself in stockholm before the 26th, you can go read it at the Konstfack Spring Exhibition right neow. (yes i am cringe enough to draw ocs for my exam project)

I will also sell some of the books i got printed of these chapters, but there's very few of them and they might sadly be a bit pricey because i couldn't afford to print enough for it to make the individual copies very cheap... (cries) but we'll see.

ive wanted to make a proper new iteration on my harpies for a bit but i couldnt really make up my mind if i wanted them to be quadruped like the basilisks, but then i decided they shall be so, but it took some bit to figure out in what way because i wanted their silhouette to read a lot smaller/upright. but NEOW i think i figured out something i like...

to stress manage i doodled some new selma references to accomodate for the new bäckahäst anatomy... smile.

i think ive mentioned it before but she dresses very strangely for a bäckahäst and most of her clothing is fergrun (tomte) styled, tailored for her specifically as she was adopted and raised by her fergrun father. even now as she has moved to ehrumnen, she still has a bit of a preference for dressing in that type of clothing especially as she's used to covering up more.

bäckahäst hinds (females) don't grow horns like the males do, but the face scale amount may result in a "faux horn" which is in most cases just a scaly protusion that resembles a horn, but isn't structured the same as the male horn (or the seagoat horns in either sex). selma has an unusually portruting "scale horn"!
