#werins

Group drawing is individuals of sophont species in eastern Hantorn. Comprised of a Meenki, a Fayon, two Werins, a Biehtim, a Loruz and a Minfil.

Werins are people that were accidentally created when mixing Biehtim (similar to a human) dna with a divine being. In modern times there are 9 main ethnic groups, there are many more but these are the ones I focus on. I’ll eventually go more into depth on each group. I already made a post about Sinete and Sionte a few months ago. Also Lunin/Fonin is a type of morphology based on when a werin is born. :)

Peepkit, and Iret, share similar cultures that revolve around worshiping the ocean. Reoit werins have a strong connection with trees, they are often called squirrel wolves. Sinete, and Sionte both live in extreme cold weather adapted to handle it. Arsol werins are often considered cursed due to historical events, their numbers are few. Zieo have adapted to living in savanna and hot desert conditions. Zior has adapted to living in desert canyons, but often venture into the hot desert too. Yetsal have gained blonde colors due to their easy existence on Ruldov.

Both cultures live in the most northern parts of the world (Northern and north eastern Lorne). The Sinete live on tundra and polar ice ; usually hunting seals, fish, whales, and Saxle clans. Nearly all are leucistic due to their snowy climate. They also paint their faces with charcoal marks to help reduce glare of snow.

The Sionte live just south inland, in the mountains. They track the migrating caribou or wooly goats most of the year. The Sionte have a snow leopard like pattern that helps them blend in with the rocky terrain. Sionte groups are generally much friendlier to travelers than Sinete.
