Blind Master

Welcome to Kingdom Hearts Unity, a panfandom roleplay group. Set after the (presumed) conclusion of the third game, Kingdom Hearts itself has offered up aid to try to repair the damage the lack of keybladers has caused. Knowledge of Kingdom Hearts isn’t a requirement to join, and we accept characters from almost any show, series, book, comic, or game!

{☁} Well, that was one ease to her stability at least. While most wouldn’t have even remotely thought of that, she didn’t find it, rather used to living around men. And honestly, as long as she had a good supply of candy and some reading material, she likely would be quiet. She wasn’t one to try and cause mischief anymore, though she had to be kept entertained with her rush of energy, often times finding herself tapping her fingers or her heels in meetings with the disbanded group and rolling over now and again in bed on her day off.

Though she was a little surprised hearing that from him. She had nearly killed his best friend in plot to rule the organization. Didn’t that upset him? She’d let her mind wander from it. Instead, her feet followed quickly, walking fairly quick in place to follow by his side– and trying not to out walk him, since he knew where he was going. She had been many places, but some places were a little in the past than others.”

It was smaller than the one that Sora had, with room only for the pilot and one passenger -- and that was being generous. Relena's seat was a cramped area behind Riku's, and even someone as short as she was would find her knees nearly pressed up against her chest. It was meant for cargo, not a person.

Luckily for her, the trip back to the Tower wouldn't take that long. She would have room to breath once they landed, and time to stretch her legs.

He is thankful for the touch to his arm the feeling of being grounded, the warmth. Its all new and yet he remembers the sensations from long ago, there is a lot he has missed and a lot he needs to take in, but one thing at a time.

“ Hmm… the Mysterious Tower, appropriate name I suppose.” he chuckled softly glancing to the other before nodding,  " shall we then? As much as I would adore basking in the light, it is not right to keep others waiting. You likely have much more important duties than babysitting a relic of history.“

At the Master's statement, Riku simply nodded before pausing. So far, he had simply thought of the stranger as just 'The Master', and there was good reason for that. He was The Master, the one who had trained the masters who had led the unions and factions from so very long ago. But before he was that, he had to have been just an ordinary person with an ordinary name.

It had been a useful tool once, allowing Ansem to intrude on Riku’s dreams, twisting them into whatever he desired and feeding his mind and heart with promises and threats.   But ever since diving into Sora’s dream, Riku had been more aware, more in control, of his sleeping state.  It was getting harder to interfere without the boy noticing, and fighting back.  Still, the longer he struggled, here close to his darkness, the more he wore himself down.

You didn't dream much when you were passed out and drunk.

The worst of the nightmares, the ones that he did anything to avoid, had nothing to do with his travels. Figments of Xehanort, his betrayal of Sora, and Kairi's suffering never appeared in those haunted dreams. Instead, it was a figure that Riku had known his whole life. It was the person who had first started the Master down his dark and lonely path.

He was much smaller in his dreams, just a small child. He was sitting in front of a piano -- or what had once been a piano. The instrument was half-rotted away, key and strings exposed like bones and tendons. His fingers hovered hesitatedly over the naked ivory, knowing full well that pressing a single key would result in a snapped string.

Terra arches a brow, surprise leaving his lips parted, before he snaps his mouth shut again. “Riku… Please don’t mistake what I was saying… You could never disappoint me- no matter what happens…” His expression tightens, as he rests a hand on Riku’s forearm. “It isn’t your fault.” He did think that it would be much easier to save the other two who mattered most besides Riku, but that did not mean it would happen, it did not mean it was so simple. Even after figuring out their locations he knew what was coming was not a path tread so easily. 

For one, Aqua was in a place he held fear for, not in particular for what may lay there, but because of the pure fact that it was a place of darkness, something he held with little regard, and an overwhelming amount of panic, and fear, which it would hold against him. He was positive he needed her to save Ven however, so there was no avoiding that that realm would be the first path they would have to go to- although he would not force Riku to come, in the end if his apprentice refused, it would be time to just throw it all to the wind and try to save them himself. 

“I need to know something. No- I need to request something…” Terra shifts, and stands up, before facing Riku. “I need you to help me with something- if you can deem it possible. A long time ago…” The brunet pauses for a moment, suddenly unsure. He had never planned how to explain this to his silver haired apprentice, and the memories were something he did not try to dwell on becuase of how much they hurt.

“My friends and I, we all trained to be keyblade masters. Only one of us succeeded, and after that we split up. Due to the malicious, and twisting actions of a man named…” He falters, something akin to fear flashing across his features, before his hand goes to his side, as he calls his keyblade to it, eyes scanning over the surface.

He couldn’t say it. 

It wasn't entirely a secret, though. Terra had a habit of having nightmares, and names would slip through his lips during those times. Names like Aqua, Ventus, Eraqus, and-

"Xehanort."

He spoke the name easily as he glanced over at Terra. "Xehanort is the one who manipulated you."

And a beat.

"And you want to use me to get your friends back."

My muse will grow cat ears and a tail and adopt the mannerisms of a cat/kitten for the entirety of a thread!

"So... ra...?" Another pause and another painful swallow.
