With construction now completed, the guides had a sneek preview to the upper sections of the waterfall last week and all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. “It is varied, fun, exciting and the views are phenomenal!” Earlier this week, the engineers tested the bridges and gave the thumbs us. Once all of the safety checks have been completed we will be opening this to everyone. We can’t wait to share this with you!

We flew loads into the upper sections of the waterfall this week. The boys have been drilling, glueing and laying cable to open up access to the spectacular upper falls. There is definitely excitement in the air about the next section of waterfall.  Mark keeps exclaiming how beautiful it is and how amazing the walls are up above. The waterfall steepens in this next section and the views get better and better. We are anticipating having this completed in March and will keep you updated. Can’t wait! 

We had an amazing day out with Ingmar, Agnetha and their 2 kids (12 and 15) yesterday. I kept thinking to myself, what a cool thing to do with your parents! This active family, has just come from completing a tree top adventure course up north and went straight on to tackling our via ferrata with ease. The two boys reminded me of mountain goats as they scampered up the rock. Here is a great photo of Chris and his dad. Way to guys!

It has been a long process, and today it all came together pleasantly early. We have received both our Outdoorsmark Safety Certification and Worksafe New Zealand Adventure Activity Operator Registration. We are now officially open for business and looking forward to sharing this amazing place with everyone!

We have managed to hit 4 major milestones this week and we are so stoked to be on track for opening on pre new year. This week Mark and the team finished the bridges up to picnic falls marking the finish of our first half day tour. We have had our photographer Ross McKay out to do some test shots and we have had the engineers test all the bridges and they have passed their testing. And finally, we completed our technical assessment, the final part of our safety audit. Above is a photo of our largest bridge from our photo day.
